Anyone wonder why now? In the midst of one of the most controversial and dangerous and blatantly hypocritical decisions Apple has made in their History? The Backdoor and the surveillance scheme disguised as Virtue becoming part and parcel of the platform!.. … and not after the mind boggling record breaking earnings?
Sometimes i feel Apple is pumping massive money in buybacks to take attention away from the bullshit they are pulling off.
Just a thought.. as it does not add up to me. ( but hey I’m a investor and i love the rise…yet i am skeptical of the reason why )
Got something to hide? I trust my data more with Apple then any other company…and I’m fine with busting creeps with sexual abuse material. The can scan my photos…I have no paranoia about missed intentions. If you are a lawful person then no worries.
Its not about that… look past your nose!

Regardless of how bad (or good) Apple’s child protection solutions are, they are not a backdoor.
Backdoor is something that creates a way to get in to and control the system from outside. None of these solutions has a backdoor.
These solutions may send some data out, but they do not add a new way back in.
It may be something else, but it’s not a backdoor then.
Also, those features are not part of the platform, but part of two applications. Messages and iCloud photo sync. Sure, those apps are distributed with the OS, but you don’t have to use those apps/features. Would it make you happier if these features would require a separate download from the App Store?
Try and fail) to redefine and apologize all you like, but it’s a backdoor.
