Servant is a new psychological thriller directed by Academy Award nominated M. Night Shyamalan that follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.

Bonnie Burton for CNET:

Being a new parent isn’t easy. Night-time feedings, endless crying, toxic diapers and the constant worry that at any moment something will go terribly wrong with your beautiful newborn.

In Apple’s new horror series Servant, which airs weekly until its finale on Jan. 17, something goes wrong for Philadelphia couple Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean (Toby Kebbell). But the death of their baby son is only the beginning of the nightmare in the new TV series from M. Night Shyamalan (Glass), streaming now on Apple TV Plus.

MacDailyNews Take: Servant is among the best series on Apple TV+. Don’t let it scare you away before giving it a try!

  1. it’s a freaky show! Not really scary but like any M. Knight movie, it’s pretty creepy! My only beef with it is that the lighting is way too dark. What’s the point of showing anything that is supposed to be scary or to give you an idea of what’s going on when you can’t see anything ?

  2. I’ve been watching the one with the Podcaster who helped to imprison an innocent kid for murder. I don’t know if this was the intent, but man do I hate her!!! I pretty much hate everyone in the series. All of her friends and family are utter ass wipes telling her that it’s not her fault and forget about it. The kid is a big grown up NAZI now. You basically become part of the Nazis or pick your sick racist gang, to survive. The Podcaster woman tells him she’s trying to help get him out but if she hears one racist word out of his mouth, she’s out.

Come on, he’s a Nazi because of her!!!!! I could only take the first 2 episodes of this crap.

Guess I’ll try the M. Knight movie next.

  3. Servant is a very well conceived story and not a dull moment in sight. Depending upon the ending… it’s a very compelling story… However, the characters are not warm or endearing… but they are very interesting. So far, it’s a winner.
