  1. I’m going to throw up in my mou… Everywhere. Disgusting to see both names in the same sentence. I know it’s business, not personal, Tim- but this is a despicable soulless fascist whose ass you’re kissing.

      1. “”Today I opened a major Apple manufacturing plant in Texas that will bring high paying jobs back to America,” by Donald Trump.

First, President Trump did not open anything. He didn’t even open the door. Others did that for him.

Second, it is not a “major” manufacturing plant for Apple. There are multiple significantly larger plants in the world employing many more people that make devices for Apple.

Third, it is not an Apple manufacturing plant. It is owned and operated by Flex, and Flex makes computers for Apple at that facility.

Fourth, the plant did not open on that day. That plant has been open and operating at least as far back as 2013.

Fifth, manufacturing jobs, while typically far from minimum wage, are not “high paying jobs”. The high paying jobs will be in the new facility that Apple will build in the area not this facility.

Sixth, the jobs in that Flex facility are not coming back to America from anywhere. They were never transferred out of the country and are therefore not coming back.

        Hmmmm…
Six factual errors in a single statement. That might be a new record even for Donald Trump.

Whether you agree with President Trump’s politics/positions or not, this kind of idiocy should be below anyone holding the office of the President of the U.S.

        1. I’ll take “idiocy” broad brush cheerleading comments, not 100% accurate, any day from a historic presidential winner that has accomplished more in three years than possibly every president in history.

Yes USER, we all know you don’t recognize one President Trump accomplishment and you NEVER WILL. Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son. /s

Shifting gears as I have posted recently, the bottom line is presidential and corporate cooperation from both parties. It’s a GOOD THING.

Partisan self righteous sniping is irrelevant, but knock yourself out it changes nothing…

        2. Criticizing me for not sucking up to your Hero is one thing, but when somebody who does not know me and has never seen me stoops to calling me “fat, drunk, and stupid,” that is considerably outside the pale. (And no, sticking a /s after it does not convert a despicable personal insult into some sort of acceptable satire.) There is no reason to do that other than to generate strife, and no reason that an American would want to do that to another American. Is it cold yet in St. Petersburg, comrade?

        3. Odd that you take specific comments about specific details of President Trump’s statements as “broad brush cheerleading comments” that are “not 100% accurate”.

First, how can individual specifics be “broad brush”? I didn’t say his entire sentence was false. It was not. He got it right that he was in Texas. He got it right that the plant is in Texas.

Second, I didn’t bring up anything about the follow on sentence that was much more political. It was about Speaker Pelosi claiming she “closed congress”, which is patently false. If I had wanted to paint with a broad brush I most certainly would have included President Trump’s statement about Speake Pelosi. I did not and was not painting with a broad brush.

Third, which of those six statements is “not 100% accurate”? Which one is false? Did President Trump open the place? Are thare not larger plants in Asia making stuff for Apple? Is the plant actually owned and operated by Apple? Is the plant now making computers for Apple when it had not before? Are those manufacturing jobs the same kind of “high paying jobs” that will be in the new Apple facility? Did Flex move all those jobs to Asia and are now bringing them back? Tell me, which of those statements I made is truly false. Please do.

If you have paid attention to my posts over the many, many years I’ve been posting here and elsewhere you’ll have noticed that I try very hard to deal in facts. I try to stay away from politics or personal agendas. As I attempted to say in my original post, I don’t believe it should matter what part of the political spectrum you reside within (reactionary to conservative to moderate to liberal to radical). A U.S. President — any U.S. President — should not make such inaccurate statements.

      1. Auramac’s comments, through years of observing, have always exhibited an intolerance, whining and are w/o substance.

Per his perspective, people unlike him are unacceptable. I bet he thinks of himself as “woke.”

    1. I doubt you know the meaning of the term fascist.
Read your history books and you will find little that corresponds with Trump.
He is a freely-elected President, whatever anyone’s opinion of him or his policies.
Also, don’t forget that he can only run two terms.

    2. Can someone get aura a ‘kerchief for his sniffles and make sure he gets tucked in gently tonight?
He’s having a serious bout of that syndrome that affects the mind and the president catalyzes.

    3. Very sad when you have that view! Suck it up, Trump is our President! The fascist name calling and other names that the left is only allowed to call people names is wrong! American way is to support your President no matter who it is and the left has divided the U.S. and that isn’t the norm anymore! He was elected and put in because he isn’t a career politician and people want changes, get over it!

  2. Tim has to swallow hard and do what is required to pay this guy attention so the tariff waivers are approved. With farm bankruptcies at an all time high, manufacturing in a recession, fewer jobs created than Obama in the same time period since leaving office, higher middle class taxes paid, widening economic disparity, and economic growth of under 2%, and that maintained by Fed rate cuts, and his lies in office now exceeding 13,000, Trump needs all the feel good economic stories he can get.

    1. Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple. He does what he has to do for the sake of his company. Sometimes that means kissing up to China. Sometimes it means kissing up to Mr. Trump. Criticizing him on either score is rather besides the point.

  3. @MDN

You mentioned in previous post that a little birdie has told you about a major Apple acquisition that may happen in 2020. Tim Cook was asked about this today by ABC

“As for the company’s future acquisitions, Cook said, “I don’t have my eye on anything big. I have my eye on a lot of interesting small things.”

    https://abcnews.go.com/Business/tim-cook-talks-vision-apple-breaks-ground-facility/story?id=67165042

    What are your thoughts?

    1. Our little birdie could be wrong. Cook is not testifying under oath, he’s merely talking to reporters. The deal could have been a possibility and is no longer on the table. A major acquisition could happen tomorrow or never. There are myriad possibilities.

  4. “Earlier in the visit, Apple presented President Trump with a custom engraved, laser-etched Mac Pro bottom plate.”

Please excuse me if I am missing something: Even though it was presented-earlier. I looked at the beginning of this video, I scanned through it to the end and did not see … Would someone please explain what the “bottom plate from a Mac Pro” is ? Thanks!

  5. This site is so politically up Trumps ass that I just have to stop reading.. I can’t even say good luck because GOP only STEAL and LIE.. so fuck you and your over advertising site.. you will get no more advert income from me.. and that is capitalism! I will also tell all my friends to drop you as well.. this is nothing more than a filthy trumpster site.. ugh I need a shower now!

    1. Wow…..very angry individual here! You have serious TDS! Stop watching CNN and getting brainwashed! GOP steal and lie? Forget about the DNC taking the election away from Bernie and giving it to Hillary? Forget about Hillary getting questions ahead of a debate? Forget about the left tricking a judge into getting a warrant to spy on Trump? Forget about the left swamp using our intelligence agencies against Trump to try and stop him from being President and still today now trying to impeach him at all costs?! I can go on and on! Neither side is clean as they are all crooks, but Trump is an outsider, not a politician and is why he got elected, to shake things up! But the left is brainwashed to call him names and want him out of office to grow the swamp more!

    2. I’m not seeing your claim of MDN being “politically up Trumps ass that I just have to stop reading.”

This is the full extent of what MDN wrote above about this event:

MacDailyNews Note: Earlier in the visit, Apple presented President Trump with a custom engraved, laser-etched Mac Pro bottom plate.

You see that as a “site is so politically up Trumps ass that” you “just have to stop reading?” Seriously?

Caution: your TDS is causing severe hallucinations. Seek help.

  6. “Criticizing me for not sucking up to your Hero is one thing, but when somebody who does not know me and has never seen me stoops to calling me “fat, drunk, and stupid,” that is considerably outside the pale. (And no, sticking a /s”

No suck up from you required. We have the best president in U.S. history as a first time remarkable leader that bested the largest war chest spent in history for a presidential campaign.

We have a remarkable first time politician draining the swamp and FEARLESSLY standing up to your party the Democrats and career politicians and you are too stupid to admit President Trump’s accomplishments.

Calling you you “fat, drunk, and stupid” was a sarcastic joke. You don’t see it and can’t handle it because you are a self righteous easily offended liberal, OK fine.

I was WRONG. You are a skinny, high, and dumb individual. No /s tag required… 🤣

      1. Of course my point is that it isn’t OK. Gratuitous personal insults indicate a lack of normal human empathy. It is what bullies do, not what adults who want to discuss an issue on its merits do. As the saying goes, “If you don’t have the law or the facts, pound the table.”

      2. I can handle anything from you, no worries. Bringing my deceased beloved mother into this is the height of low life political scum. Tell your mother what you said about my mother and see what happens…
