There’s only one thing guaranteed to speed start-up: boot from a SSD. It used to take more than five minutes from boot-up to the point where I could open a Photoshop file on my iMac with an internal hard drive. I added a Samsung T5 external drive, and now the whole process takes about 25 seconds. Best $150 bucks you can spend.
