Citi: AirPods Pro means a healthy holiday season for Apple

Apple’s all-new AirPods Pro are packed with audio innovation to deliver superior sound and an immersive noise-canceling experience.

Apple revealed on Monday that it was releasing a Pro version of its wireless AirPod earbuds, AirPods Pro — just in time for the holidays.

Nick Robertson, Yahoo Finance:

When they’re released on October 30, AirPods Pro will include a fresh design and features—including noise-cancelling technology—to justify a price tag of $249… It’s making some Wall Street analysts even more bullish on Apple’s year-end performance. “I do think the product will be a great stocking stuffer,” Citi Research analyst Jim Suva told Yahoo Finance’s YFi PM. “For the average consumer, they’re great and they’re good enhancements.”

In Suva’s view, positive developments between the U.S. and China over trade will also likely give a boost to Apple in the months ahead. “A lot of these fears have started to be mitigated and become less worrisome,” according to Suva. “We think it’s going to be a good, healthy Christmas holiday season for Apple.”

MacDailyNews Take: This is shaping up to be a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for Apple, indeed!

  1. $300 ear buds. Not unheard of. Many high quality earbuds sell for much much more. The 64 Audio Fourté In-er monitor headphones go for $3799.

So I figured $300 is nothing for a pair of Apple designed earbuds that fit nicely into the ecosystem. Then I watched a video on YouTube of someone doing an unboxing and review of the new noise canceling AirPods, and some child in the comments section writes, “Any one else here wish they could afford Apple Products?”

This Christmas my $300 goes to charity, or some specific person in need.

    1. Just bought a set of AirPods Pro.

FYI, they cost $249, not $300. That’s super cheap for any type of noise cancelling headphones, let alone totally wireless ear buds designed by Apple…

      1. I live in California, taxes and other fees make them cost about 275 dollars, and to me there is very little difference in 275 and 300. I’m guessing that Apple’s profit on a set of AirPods is $80 to $100?

    2. For my charitable contribution, I volunteer weekly at a local dog rescue. The dogs spend most of their time in their ‘rooms’, a 3’x5’ dog crate. I spend 3 to 4 hours taking the dogs out for a potty break and some exercise. I get more back from the dogs than I give. For anyone who has done few time. I strongly recommend helping out at your local dog rescue…
