Verizon will offer all new and existing Verizon Wireless unlimited customers, new Fios home internet customers and new 5G home internet customers a year of Disney+ for free.
People who already pre-ordered the Disney+ service are still eligible. The “purchase will be put on pause and resume after the Verizon promo period,” a Verizon spokesperson told CNBC.
The offer will land Disney+ millions of early subscribers who may continue to subscribe after the first year, which is important since it will enter a crowded streaming market that includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+ and HBO Max.
Disney+ will launch on Nov. 12 for $6.99 a month and includes new and existing TV shows and movies from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and more. The service will be available across multiple platforms, including iPhone, Android, Roku, Xbox and PS4, and will allow customers to download videos for watching offline.
MacDailyNews Take: Of course, this is a copycat move as Apple has already announced that customers who purchase any new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, or iPod touch as of September 10, 2019, get a year of Apple TV+ for free.

T-Mobile offered Netflix for free. Sprint offered Hulu for free. AT&T offered AT&T TV for free.
I think it’s in the timing that gives it away, it anounces it’s pricing Apple* later announces its own and offers its own services on its own products free for a year and ‘coincidentally’ Disney looks around for someone to pal up with to offer something similar. One might have thought like Apple it would have fond do at the same gone if it’s idea was an internal one.
on another note I wonder if those idiots amateur and (supposedly) professional who condemned Apple and in particular Cook for not announcing its pricing back in the Spring/early Summer get the reason why now, seeing how others are and would have responded to it if they had.
If I didn’t think Disney weren’t a propaganda wing for millennial fascists, I might take them up on that. Since they are, I think I’ll pass. I have never used Verizon and never will.
