Apple today released a revised macOS Catalina Supplemental Update which includes installation and reliability improvements, and is recommended for all users.
This update:
• Improves installation reliability of macOS Catalina on Macs with low disk space
• Fixes an issue that prevented Setup Assistant from completing during some installations
• Resolves an issue that prevents accepting iCloud Terms and Conditions when multiple iCloud accounts are logged in
• Improves the reliability of saving Game Center data when playing Apple Arcade games offline
MacDailyNews Take: Keep squashing bugs that should have been squashed months ago, Apple. Sheesh!
Better than never squashing them, we guess. Sigh.
Hey, Apple, can you get Catalina to remember where application windows were left on dual display setups upon awakening from Sleep, please? Seems basic, we know, but it still isn’t working.

Why a supplemental update?
Just make it 10.15.1 and 10.15.2.
Asking users over the phone, “what version are you running?”
OS X 10.15 in the about window could be one of three versions now.
Apple’s Supplemental updates are horrible. They will randomly replace them with new version without changing the name or version. There is literally no way to properly manage these in an enterprise environment where all data can not be pulled directly from Apple.
Just had this situation earlier today. It is even worse.
I was sitting at the Mac in question. “About This Mac” listed OS X 10.15. Going into System Report > Software > Installations, did not list anything after the 10.15 upgrade.
I went into System Prefs > Software Update. It tells me there are no updates available.
So… supplemental update 1 and 2 are installed or not installed?
Rebooted twice and same info and behavior.
WTF Apple!!!
This is why Apple should release new OS’es every two years like they used to. That way they can squash all the bugs and etc. I remember back around Mac OS 10.4 or 10.5 where I paid around $79.95 for a new release. And the OS was very stable, even though they did release updates when they found problems. This crap of releasing a new OS every year is crazy IMO. Oh well, just my 2 Cents worth
