    1. It probably was. Software is released when it is is good enough, not when it is perfect, because that would be never. Every release leaves a list of bugs behind, scheduled for the next sub-release.

  1. I just want the thing where it keeps telling me to fix my iCloud settings to go away. I update them and in under an hour it is complaining again. And the complaining included annoying things popping down over my browser. I have read where people fixed this by resetting the iPad and restoring from backup, but I really did not want to do that with five iPads.

  2. Tangentially, I was on a tech support cal with Apple trying to find out why I couldn’t make a 911 call with my watch v5 which doesn’t have a cell plan. I assumed (wrong) that a cellular device should be able to make a 911 call. If you don’t have a cellular plan for your watch it needs to be on WiFi or near the iPhone to be successful. I tried both ways in a test with my local 911 center. Without the phone (no WiFi/no Bluetooth active on the watch) the watch wouldn’t make the cal. Later, after I’d talked to Apple, I tried again with the phone on and with WiFi and Bluetooth active on the watch. That 911 call went through. So don’t be out on a surfboard with only a non-cell-activated watch 😉

  3. iOS 13.1.2 has been buggy for me. Minor annoying crap. Like email not being marked as read when I open it and other small issues that are just annoying. Nothing big or necessary bad just seems unpolished.

  4. It’s a gray morning. I had to drive someone to Dulles Airport. It is only 12 miles away, but the route is complex with lots of maneuvers and lane changes, so I used Apple Maps on CarPlay. It was in dark mode, without any option to change to light mode. Everything on the map was completely black except for the road I was on. This is dangerous.

I can understand the nostalgia for the TRS-80, but there are times when the screen must be visible. CarPlay needs an option for full-time light mode or perhaps dimming the display instead of going full black. It is dangerous to drive with a black map.

  5. This issupposed to enhance hearing aids? I have $4000.00 Oticon hearing aids and since this update cannot get them to work. Working with Oticon for 2 hours and the have referred the problem to a higher up expert.

    1. i have resound hearing aids and when i use my 7 plus iPhone , each time i press a button o the lock screen button my hearing aids go off then back on . Also there is no way to reconnect the two devices unless i open the hearing aid battery the shut to reconnect
