Apple’s 2019 iPhone 11 is a standout that has enough new features that it’s going to tempt people who would otherwise have gone for the more expensive models, AppleInsider writers say.

Whether you bought it because you just needed a new phone, or you upgraded because you wanted the latest hardware, you’re going to be glad you got the iPhone 11. Apple’s new entry-level iPhone is more capable and has so many more features that this year, the difference between it and the more expensive models is far less.
Considering that this year we were expecting Apple to make only minor upgrades —it’s next year that we should see 5G and more —we’re surprised just how good the iPhone 11 really is.
That’s the point, though, that it’s good in reality. You can compare specifications and make quite informed decisions, but it’s when you actually use an iPhone 11 for real that you know how good it is.

Allow me this opportunity to say, I am about fed up with all the ridiculous ads here at MDN. I know they have to buy milk and bread, but sheesh, it’s terrible.

Of course, if Bernie gets elected, he’ll add the iPhone to the list of free things for every man/woman.
Apple stopped serving “everyman” a decade ago.
Apple concentrates primarily on toys for the UMC and rich elite fashionistas and rentals for millennials. Timbo stopped effort on affordable robust creative tools that the average person could justify buying. In exchange for a 50+ % Apple Tax and attempted cloud rental, you get a fragile laptop with a shitty keyboard, or a glued and sealed laptop with a stand that Apple calls an iMac. You can’t upgrade anything over time and iLife apps haven’t noticeably improved in years. Sad but true.
I wish Apple would develop a means to ensure more reliable telephone connections. In areas of weak signal, like where I live in rural Vermont, I am continually plagued by dropped calls even when the iPhone indicates there is at least a one-bar signal strength. There should be a technical solution to this.
