The 11 Max Pro costs as much as a MacBook Air. But doesn’t do nearly as much as a MacBook Air. And has a much smaller screen, and no keyboard, and less onboard storage. Not even slightly interested.

One could say apples vs. oranges. I will always prefer a durable personal computer over a pocket tracker/camera/phone/ad server/subscription thing. Apple seems to be going for the mobile millennial who cannot afford to move out of his parents’ basement but is happy to shell out for every new Apple mobile device plus tens or hundreds of dollars per month on gaming and media subscriptions. Apple led the keynote with games, so that tells you a lot. They don’t really care about business customers. They prioritize consumers.
MDN might not be in the know, but most of the breathless list of all that is new with the iPhone 11 falls flat. Cnet tells it like it is:

Hey Schiller: 99% of customers didn’t ask for 3 camera lenses. You didn’t even acknowledge the unmet demand for smaller simpler phones. A large portion of your iPhone customer base asked for more memory, more battery life, 5G, USB-C, TouchID option, removal of the Ugly Notch, square corners on the screen, and more competitive pricing. You didn’t deliver. Your flagship looks ugly and there’s nothing truly groundbreaking here. If he wants to take amazing photography, a real pro is going to reach for a real dedicated camera with quality lenses. Any any sane person with a limited budget would invest in a much more capable Mac (a 5-8 year investment) instead of opting to pay top dollar for a relatively disposable phone (a 2-4 year investment).

Did they say “By innovation only?”. Although they used beautiful words, other than hardware upgrade, those camera technologies have been used by Huawei and Vivo and Oppo for almost TWO YEARS!!! And they are taking stunning pictures too (i’d tried many times). Even the camera look like Huawei’s ones. Who is the copy cat now?

I’m quite frustrated by Apple’s insistence on a single port for all iDevices. Pros need flexibility, and there is plenty of room for another port. Having both a Lighting and USB-c ports would reduce the number of cables and adaptors one would need to carry around, and will make obvious situations more manageable: For example, a phone that needs to display video on a monitor for several hours at a stretch, and so needs power. Or if someone unexpectedly needs to use headphones. 1/8 headphones are available everywhere, the correct adaptor to plug it into a phone is not, and will cost more than many headphones.

A few months back when Huawei CFO , daughter of Huawei founder, was arrested in Vancouver ( due to extradition request by USA) she was found to be carrying an iPhone 7, a Macbook and an iPad.
She thinks an iPhone 7 (three generations old ) is BETTER than the LATEST Huawei phones !!
