Is 5G microwave radiation a carcinogenic, killing bees around 5G cell towers? Bizarre footage showing hundreds of bees dead on the ground surrounding what appeared to be two 5G towers in California has gone viral.
On social media, forums and online blogs, anti-5G activists attribute a slew of maladies to 5G microwave radiation, including cancer, infertility, autism, Alzheimer’s, killing bees, and more. In November 2018, a viral Facebook post blamed a 5G test mast for the mysterious death of 300 birds in the Netherlands (the test actually took place months earlier). Some anti-5G activists share tips on how to damage or destroy expensive 5G towers.
The superfast broadband has sparked controversy since rolling out this year, with health experts claiming it could have serious side effects on humans. And there are now claims online that bees could also be affected after a video went viral. The clip – taken in Sierra Madre, California – shows the lifeless bodies of the bees lying on the ground…
But others questioned what was seen in the clip. Some pointed out the bees could just be drone bees – which die after mating. Others claimed the poles could not be holding 5G broadband, with one saying: “5G has only been installed in major cities, dude. It’s not in Sierra Madre and it probably never will be.”
MacDailyNews Take: We very much doubt these non-5G towers are killing bees. There could be a local use of a pesticide, perhaps, or another cause that’s totally unrelated to 5G.
In my city in the UK there’s a petition running to stop 5G being installed there. Radiation fears apparently. Surely all this stuff has been tested?

Testing in consumer electronics is a joke at best — much like Pharma and laboratory invented foods. In 2017 six firefighters became sick only weeks after two towers were installed on their station. After two months the towers were removed and brain scans were done. All 6 of these firefighters had abnormal cellular damage in their brain, and after that the firefighters got all installations of these towers blocked from their stations. Assuming your claim of 5G being a microwave frequency, it would certainly make sense that any objects/organisms that get close enough would be ‘fried’. The question is does the equipment still pose a problem at the distance that they would be placed from at least people in buildings or passing on streets? Would devices using 5G signals have harmful effects on those in close proximity?

all communication including your wifi is considered a “microwave”. its a safe frequency. you only get “fried” when the amplitude is large. Think about ocean waves, is frequency of the waves or the size that hurts you? its the size of course. Actually, 5G frequencies interact with Oxygen and water in a very destructive way. Guess what animals and humans are mostly made of and use to process energy!
It is well known that the 60GHz “microwave” band used by 5G signals interact with Oxygen in levels as high as 98%. That means up to 98% of that radiation is absorbed into the oxygen. If that oxygen just happens to be inside you, what effect will that have when all that radiation is no longer “harmlessly” passing through you, but staying inside you instead…
Finally someone the understands a bit of basic physics (and this is more a reply to the others that replied to you not you). For everyone else who doesn’t believe this it is an extremely simplified version of what is happening, and if you want to actually inform yourself then believe these your opinions which in a way are harmful to society do some research on ionisation energy and the photoelectric effect.
Essentially, electromagnetic waves (consists of microwaves, radio waves and visible light) are only dangerous if they can ionise your cells, which is very few of these waves as they must have a lot of energy. Now if you look at the electromagnetic spectrum you’d realise that gamma rays are the main source of radioactive poisoning and the next highest frequency waves are x-rays which with a lot of exposure can cause some damage. Now, the visible spectrum is between microwaves and these more dangerous frequencies so according to your logic, visible light should be even more dangerous, but it isn’t. We have survived thousands of years with no issues and constant exposure to the visible spectrum (and microwaves when you look at what the sun produces). Another way of causing ionisation is through the photoelectric effect. In which case your higher frequency causing more damage in sort of on track to what scientist believed, but they soon discovered frequency has no impact and it solely relies on amplitude. So the above is correct in a simpler manner, and scientifically microwaves are harmless.
Now for the bees, bees (along with many other insects and animals) use magnetism for a sense of direction. Because Earth is simply a very large magnet many animals have evolved to be able to use this to be able to sense where North is and they can then migrate (or for bees and many insects, find their hive again) based on this sense. No these towers aren’t powerful, but these senses are extremely sensitive so it is logical to believe that these bees got confused with where they are, couldn’t find their hive and eventually died of exhaustion. There is no evidence to suggest that 5G caused this (although there is a little research that points to 3G and 4G potentially having an effect but nothing conclusive), but it seems to be a plausible explanation that uses real science not some illogical 5 minute guess that relies on confirmation bias.
So if you want real science to back up your claims that 5G is dangerous to animals, there is some. It is fine for humans though (although there is indirect damage due to the collapse of ecosystems that rely on bees) so I can’t see any significant change with the current generation that is in power. The next generation seems to care more about these things though so change may occur in the future.
So wifi and such will kill us slowly like a toxic swimming pool rather than killing us quickly like ocean waves.

It’s a good question why we should trust someone with no legal liability, but just because they don’t have any legal liability doesn’t mean there is no economic liabilities. Think, it just became wide spread on the news the company X just caused if company X goes out and says “Well we have no legal liability so we won’t do anything” there’d be outcry, the government will be pressured to do something and they will want to because they need the power the people give them, alternatively company X would try and help the solution but they still would lose a lot of shareholders and customers, and thus money and power. So these billion dollar corporations do need to act ethical because the negative consequences of not doing so are so large no amount of lobbying is going to stop any punishment. Now you might think they could get the media to hide it, but each news agency has there own agendas, some will try and hide this news story but the rest will happily jump on it to either defame the company and the news agencies (their competitors) linked with them or to simply have a large news story to generate income.
As for the firefighters, I’d like to know the source for this as I could not find anything in brief 30 second research (other then some kid cementing his head in a microwave and getting a fine for causing a fireman rescue). However if this is true, it could be a case of correlation not causation, as there is a lot of science to demonstrate why the won’t get sick, but I’ll need to look at the actual case if it exists. After a 5 minute search I found something, so there was no link with the abnormal brain function (they kept referring to it as brain function not cellular damage by the way which are very different, but can be the result of one another so not necessarily saying what you said is incorrect but I’d like to point out that you are potentially inferring something false to support your case) and microwave damage. Instead, some of the firefighters got superstitious and wanted to have them moved as a safety precaution and because firefighters are strong lobbyist they got their way. There was nothing to suggest this caused the damage apart from occurring at the same time and hence it would be unfair to the telecommunications companies had it not actually been their fault as this would be a significant cost to them which is why no further action was done. So before requesting that these towers are moved actual evidence would be required, I’m not saying there isn’t any but you’ll need science not speculation.
As for the absorption of microwaves, think of it like water. We absorb water when we go swimming, for the most part it isn’t too dangerous. But if you get too much exposure to the water it can cause some problems such as the break down of human skin as well as causing certain viral and bacterial infections (assuming hypothermia doesn’t get you first as that is not linked to absorbing water but it is what will get you first). Now, another example of a microwave is sunlight, sunlight contains many microwaves which have in fact more energy and are thus more dangerous. A little time in the sun, as you should know, is good for you and healthy but if you spend too much time you can get sunburnt and cancer (both are actually from the UV rays but in theory if you blocked them the microwaves would still give you a slight sunburn- nothing bad though). Now, we do not have enough constant exposure to man made objects that produce microwaves (other then the microwave oven which I’ll get to) to cause any harm due to how weak they are so it’s not something we have to worry about. The one we do, is microwave ovens and for the most part they are safe due to the case being designed to stop them from escaping, but when we misuse them or if they are damaged they can cause issues.

In the US, the cell industry got itself exempted from the regulations that government even environmentally destructive industries like oil.
In Canada, the regulations were written by industry — not “kind of” or “with the participation of… and the prime criterion they used was immediate, measureable harm. Health Canada just handed over that responsibility.

World scientists have signed a petition to stop 5g because of negative health effects but our telcos and governments seem to be turning a blind eye. Do a search for Californian fire fighters health living underneath 5g towers, or UK schoolkids and cancer rates near 5g towers, or any number of 5g related health concerns to humans, birds, bees and other animals. I spent 20 years taking care of Common Carrier 6 Ghz microwave relay towers (among other duties). Some also had cell panels and others had FM antennas and of course most had regular UHF/VHF off-air antennas (frequency tuned).
On occasion I would see several birds at the base after migration. Never a large number, maybe 5-8 at the most but still not something you want to see.
Also, more times than I like to remember, while working anywhere from 200-500 feet up and as the day warmed up in Spring/Fall the tower would get covered in wasp (almost always RED wasp!!). Was never stung, not once even though they would light on me or be on the climbing rungs. Very unnerving until you just set that aside along with the rest of the crazy stuff going on at that height. (BTW I never found out why they go so high and seemingly do nothing, other tower-dogs told of the same experiences).
Very seldom did I see bees other than a few hives and those below 20′. Oddly enough, saw tons of spider webs that were caught in the winds….also weird.
Here is my point; if this happened at one tower because of the frequency/compression scheme/power then it will happen at many other towers. If it was just a freak die-off like happens in many places then it was just a coincidence.
I do believe this should be considered very carefully since we all have more need for bees than Netflix.

Sierra Madre, CA, is a city well within the Los Angeles metropolitan area, and would very definitely be in any carrier’s 5G coverage area.
I was under the impression that with 5G, the coverage area of each tower is much smaller thus requiring more cell points. Being near a metropolitan area doesn’t necessarily mean the 5G signal is the cause. especially if the new equipment has been installed on existing towers. The 4G (and lower) signals are probably more likely if at all.

It is relatively easy to prove a positive: just document one case where 5G clearly caused harm to biological entities.
It is essentially impossible to prove a negative: that there is absolutely no case, known or unknown, in which such harm occurred. No matter how much proof of safety one might provide, there is always some possibility of an unknown or future example of harm.
Requiring certainty of safety, rather than just pointing out the lack of currently known counter-examples, would keep every new product off the market.

We live in Alaska, a small state. There are 5G towers going up here. They’re thing about how it is only going up in large cities is bull. There is little we can do about it but I plan to do everything I can to keep our country free! The fact is is that we are being manipulated. Being sensored, and I can almost bet this comment is going to be deleted. America is falling. There is no freedom of speech anymore, they label it as hate speech. For anyone who didn’t know, hate speech is free speech. People look around! This is not the america our ancestors fought for, where are we the people in this, we should be fighting back! but because no one is going to fight back, we have already lost. America has fallen.
Not likely to be deleted, but probably ignored. I don’t think we fought the Revolutionary War for the right to have slow cell service. As for free speech, people are obviously able to express scientific nonsense, and do.
5G is not only in major cities… It is being put everywhere. I live on Maui, a little island in Hawaii and it is being put in every town here. This is a serious matter. There have been no tests to prove safe and we are seeing the negative effects with our own eyes!

5G was turned on in my home town 3 months ago. Since then my honeybees have all died, my 15 doves that used to frequent my feeders have disappeared, my red cardinal is now a bald head cardinal, my mom, husband, and I have chest pain and pressure, shortness of breath, heart beat irregularities, headaches, and skin rashes. I didn’t even know anything about 5G or that it had been turned on in my area. All I knew was that something was terribly wrong and started doing some research. What I found was shocking and overwhelming. I have no doubt about what is causing all my families symptoms. If you’re not afraid… you should be. Think about it. Humans are only used to 2.4GHz electromagnetic frequency waves, now we are subjected from 6GHz to 100GHz and up. There’s a whole world wide experiment going on and we’re the ginnie pigs. People are slowly starting to wake up. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out. We did a little experiment and went somewhere for two weeks that didn’t have 5G. All our symptoms went away. When we returned home all our symptoms came back. What does that tell you? We must be one of the hot spots that they cranked up to high. We are currently researching into where 5G is not being installed and moving soon.
