With iPhone 11 clones hitting the market many have begun to question the design. The clone models of the Phone XI appear to have a more prominent camera hump than some expected. Looks like some sort of weird skin growth on the back. I wouldn’t buy that ugly piece of crap if my life depended on it. Bring on the iPhone 12 with Touch ID embedded under the screen, no notch, a thicker body that holds a larger battery and this monstrosity of camera lenses reimagined. Hopefully whoever’s in charge of design now will actually be present and focused in the studio, treating the iPhone like the crown jewel of Apple rather than being MIA like Jony Ive the past couple years.
Camera bump is such a joke. The thickness no-one cares about, could have been used for more battery. The notch could have just been across the entire top, better aesthetics, instead of ridiculous compromises.

The first iPhone was just “IPhone.” The second had third generation radios, so it was the “iPhone 3G.” There was never an “iPhone 1, 2, or 3.” The third was just an update of the same basic design, the “iPhone 3GS” The Fourth was a major upgrade, “iPhone 4.” The models alternated through major revisions (iPhone 5, 6, 7, 8) and minor revisions (iPhone 4S, 5S, 6S).
However, there was no iPhone 7S; the sequence skipped directly from 7 to 8 , which was released along with the revolutionary iPhone X (which meant there was no iPhone 9, either). The convention resumed with the iPhone XS minor revision. The next model according to the naming convention that Steve Jobs established would be the iPhone 11 or XI.
Beginning with the 6, there was also a Plus version, redesignated as Max with the iPhone X. There were also lower-cost 5C, SE, and XR versions.
If you find the naming convention unbelievable, take it up with Steve Jobs when you next see him.

With the exception of the square camera hump. It’s the same exact f###ng phone. I’m thinking a lot of regular iphone upgraders will be skipping this cycle. Is it now safe to say that Apple (under Cook) is on cruise control?
