The comment Paul made was whether the article was biased by mentioning “Walled Garden”, which is as profound a fact as anything having to do with iOS. I pointed out how it isn’t appoint of bias, but a serious consideration. What I said wasn’t imposing my opinion, it was not about opinion. It was about fact.

Then you accept that Apple’s walled garden is the best choice for many very smart people. That is a fact after all.

Fact: Apple delivers products and services within a closed ecosystem.
Fact: Apple’s customers are highly satisfied with this approach.
Fact: Android is an open ecosystem (we can skip over the complex reality that no system is purely open or closed and for the sake of simplifying things for you, say that Apple is closed and Android is open).
Fact: Android customers are demonstrably less satisfied than Apple customers but they are satisfied enough that we can call them satisfied customers.
Fact: Choosing to be an Apple and/or Android customer is a choice that smart well informed people make. No one is being tricked or bamboozled into making these buying decisions.
Fantasy: If only Apple would offer an open ecosystem within their closed ecosystem everything would be great and everyone would be happy.
Fantasy: Creating an open ecosystem within a closed ecosystem would be so easy with no consequences at all and the only reason Apple doesn’t do it is because they are mean and greedy (sad face).

The XR is impressive – I bought one this past December (Product Red version) but don’t know how long I’ll stay with there larger size. With neuropathy in my hands it is an easy phone to drop and isn’t a good fit in my pockets compared to the smaller sizes. It was, however, the only model available for a “free” upgrade when moving to T-Mobile. (Another mistake). Come to September I’ll move to the smaller X as well as returning to ATT.
If the size is fine for your hands and pockets then the XR is an excellent phone, I also like the Product Red – Apple has used this relationship with Bono to fund over a third of the $600+ million that has gone to fight HIV in Africa.
Ken, there are several natural remedies for Neuropathy, have a search on Google and try some to see if they help.
Also your larger XR screen will be better for your eyes to see the screen when you use the voice control features of iOS 13, which are incredible!
Whether conventional medicine, natural remedies, a combination of both or neither help or don’t, voice control might be a great boon to you, should you decide to try it out once iOS 13 goes gold.
