A lot of bigger YouTubers made videos ditching their Apple MacBook Pros for Windows Laptops or Custom Desktop PCs but the problem is they are all sponsored. I wanted to see if using Adobe Premiere is as bad as they say it is on a MacBook Pro (I’m a PC user). So I did my own tests. You’ll be surprised with the results.

I purchased Final Cut Pro X in 2011 for $299. I have received “Free” upgrades for the past 8 years.
For those who use Premiere Pro they pay $21 per month. So from 2011 to 2019 (96 months), an Adobe user would have paid $2000 to “rent” the software . . . Youtube Creators such as Marques Brownlee have switched from Premiere to FCPX because it renders incredibly faster than Premiere (especial for high end workflows such as RED cameras) . . . there are a number of alternatives to the high price of Adobe Premiere — Davinci Resolve, which has recently been updated, is a free alternative, and if you would like to do multi-track video editing on an iPad, LumaFusion costs $15 (if you have a student in the family, you can purchase an Academic License bundle of FCPX, Motion, Compressor and Logic Pro for $199)
