The Mac is dead. Not even a mention.
I’ve been a Mac user since 1988. I have never owned non-Apple hardware and never run Windows. Yet now I am seriously looking at Linux (or even Haiku). Tim Cook made it clear a couple of years ago that his focus is on mobile and he doesn’t understand why anyone would want a laptop or desktop. I am a desktop and laptop user and I could care less about iOS. That means Apple is moving away from me rapidly.
So I am seriously looking into Linux.

Any real Apple user knows that the most important comes last.
It seems as though they’re using canned applause tracks. It doesn’t seem natural, at all. I’m skipping the live event and I’ll just watch the highlights at a later time. Although the audience is going crazy about everything, I’m sure the critics will tear most of it apart as being boring or copying Android OS. I’m still quite certain most businesses will prefer Microsoft’s idea of one Windows OS that runs on everything instead of Apple’s multiple OSes. We’ll see. Windows will definitely remain the dominant desktop OS and Apple’s MacOS will never put a dent in it.

This is LAME. Not that I am against Apple offering these things, who cares. But when you’re highlighting them on the first day of the once a year event where Apple has traditionally wowed the world with their new inventions, it shows you have NOTHING. Tim Cook was a horrible replacement for Steve Jobs. His main strategy is play it safe and he is obviously not an innovative thinker. They should let Elon Musk take over. He is nuts but it would be better than Tim Cook.
The death spiral would certainly be entertaining if nothing else. Just worried with Cook we might get a long lingering slow death I have to admit.
I can use the decibal complication to know when the ambient volume is damaging. I prefer dark text over a light background. Maps is super handsome and non-trackable.
Tim Cook is appalling. A pure bore. An unmitigated hack. How Apple expects to succeed with this lump as a CEO is inexplicable.

WOW….shares of Apple are being hammered hard by investors. -$2.75 and falling in extremely heavy trading. All morning Apple was up nicely but once Tim Cook spoke, investors fled like scalded cats.
For those who think the display price is high, the top Eizo prosumer display is $5979 for a 31.1″ Cinema 4K version. Though it does come with a built-in calibrator.
