  1. We are not being told if she’s lip sinking; her ontro voice is natural while the beginning of her first song sounded manufactured. Her persona is campish/vampish/over-the-top to appeal to current expressions of sexuality. It is the correct cmmercial move to satisfy new tastes as well as because this trajectory must be followed up to the very end whch has no end in sight.

  2. SHAME SHAME SHAME!!! On whoever decided to film the fun Lady Gaga concert in “Vertiscope!” Vertical filmmaking must be stamped out! This cried out for normal horizontal shooting and I for one won’t bother to watch it – far too frustrating. There are few reasons to shoot this way and it’s usually laziness, ignorance and stupidity that causes it. And from an Apple employee yet! (Waitaminute that last part starts to makes sense all things considered.)

  3. Major and not surprising leak! “One minute working on radars, the next singing along to Bad Romance.”

Working on radars. Let’s see – what could radars be for? Ayaka, you are losing access to Sunnyvale! Ha ha ha.

  4. Ok, so WHY DON’T WE MAKE IT AN OPTION TO SHOOT HORIZONTALLY IN A VERTICAL POSITION?

This is just a vestige of skeumorphism, like we need a cool option based on the gravity accelerator of our phone.

It’s not more natural or more handy…most of the time it’s a pain in the neck to get the orientation in the right direction by shifting the phone.

    1. To do this you would have to either physically rotate the sensor chip 90º or crop the sensor and loose 2/3rds of your pixel count. (Equivalent to a 3:1 digital zoom.) It’s doable, but might cause more problems then it is worth.

You could build a reminder into the interface telling people to rotate the camera. That would work.
