iPhone case makers are betting the next-gen iPhone’s giant camera bump leaks are right

“We’re still a few months away from Apple’s next iPhone (which will likely launch in September), but rumors are already swirling and case makers, at least, seem to be convinced, based on the latest batch of leaked case renders courtesy of Slashleaks and Sonny Dickson,” Chaim Gartenberg writes for The Verge.

“There isn’t a ton new to see here — renders of an iPhone with a massive square camera module with three triangularly arranged lenses have been floating around for months,” Gartenberg writes, “but the fact that case makers seem to be willing to hedge their bets on creating actual products around them might give more credence to the fact that this is an actual design.”

    1. plus there are several renderers out there.. most of them with the hideously disproportionate square.. but there is also a render that has a much smaller square that, imo, looks much much better.
The 1st ‘pink’ case pic above seems to be more along the lines of the smaller square.
I truly hope the smaller square will be closer to the reality as opposed to the huge one.

      1. The square camera module is the same size for both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Plus so that’s why it looks so big on the iPhone 11.
I agree it doesn’t look as bad on the Plus.
I’m sure I read somewhere that the silver rim around each lens isn’t part of this design, it’s just something added by the people creating these renders.
If that’s the case the lenses will blend in a lot more with the camera module. Apple may also be adding a black coating to some part of the lenses to further try and blend them in. If it ends up just looking like a black square piece of glass then it probably won’t look too bad.
