MacDailyNews Take: Apple only needs one hit to start the service off right and, by the looks of things, they’ve assembled high-caliber talent on myriad projects, so the odds look good!

  1. Where’s the violence? You need a good dark drama to get this ship off the ground. Where’s their version of The Sopranos or Breaking Bad or The Wire or House of Cards or Game of Thrones? All we get with “Appleflix” is this Lifetime Network jolly family crap?

  2. MDM, I so hope your right.
I consider this entire move into content production to be a waste of time and resources, but I still want Apple to be successful at this. It would be nice if they put all of that effort into their current basic services and hardware.

  3. Will these shows be qualitatively/critically good or will they be merely popular because of Apple’s wide reach?

    Only time will tell.
    We’ll see.
    God only knows.
    Proof is in the pudding.
    We’ll know sooner or later.
Who knows what the future will bring.
    The outcome is uncertain.
