MacDailyNews Take: Pardon us, post-Steve Jobs Apple, but we’ll believe it when we see it.
Real artists ship. – Steve Jobs
So, if this piece of vaporware ever solidifies into an actual shopping product, what price tag will Apple slap on it?

The price will likely be between $99 and $149. I like an upright phone charger and a watch charger that lets me easily use night mode.
If Apple thinks that Qi wireless charging is worth $99 and up, they are definitely smoking something that rots their remaining brain cells. One can TODAY buy >5 competing wireless chargers for the same price, without waiting for Pipeline to eventually deliver.

RÄLLEN Integrated wireless charger £10
The value Apple claims here (at least when they prematurely announced it) is in charging multiple (3) devices simultaneously, without regard for orientation.
MDN is right — this has been vaporware since the beginning, and a tweet changes nothing.
Well if one can buy half a dozen chargers for the price of one 3-position mat that doesn’t work at all when you don’t have your device perfectly lined up, then Apple has already blown it.
I simply use the wired chargers & cables I already own. It is more environmentally sound, charges faster, much easier to use on the road, and cost me practically nothing.
I am so glad I am not the only one seeing how badly Apple leaders have lost the plot. What problem is a $149 charger supposed to solve??????
If that was the selling point, that 3rd party product that looks like a pyramid and will wirelessly charge up to 7 Qi compatible devices that are placed within 15 inches of the product regardless of 3D orientation (imagine setting your phone on it’s edge, Apple Watch flat on its back and your ipad perpendicular to the other two devices and have them all charging) would probably be a much better (and cooler) choice.
Make it $49 and it would fly off the shelves. I bet it will be $149 – $179 though and not worth it to me at that price.
$150+.
It’ll sell “well” within its ecosystem but marketing/production failures aside, I suspect this is a very small ecosystem: phone+watch+headphones.
is it alleged to support a pair of phones? That’s a more likely use.
