Apple today released macOS Mojave 10.14.1 which improves the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac, and is recommended for all users.
This update:
• Adds support for Group FaceTime video and audio calls, which support up to 32 participants simultaneously, are encrypted end-to-end for privacy, and can be initiated from a group Messages conversation, or joined at any time during an active call.
• Adds over 70 new emoji characters, including new characters with red hair, gray hair and curly hair, new emoji for bald people, more emotive smiley faces and additional emoji representing animals, sports and food.

But does it eliminate 32 bit support? The link for more detailed info doesn’t say anything but what’s in the article.

Wondered why I received a single 1-star vote on this post. I see now that Apple has moved the updating of the OS into System preferences (instead of in the App store/Updates). I had no idea they had done this.
That is because there is a bug somewhere. Go check the developer forums. Several others can’t install it. It doesn’t show up in Software Update and if you try to install the download version from: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1981?locale=en_US it says: “macos 10.14.1 update can’t be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update.” This is with file vault on or off.
Maybe not a bug. I’m traveling and have an external thunderbolt SSD. Cloned 10.14 from my Fusion Drive iMac. Software update says “up to date”. Tried installing from other source. No go. Says drive is not APFS formatted. Well of course not…it’s cloned from a Fusion Drive, something APFS doesn’t support yet. Too bad no advanced option on update installer for choosing one file system vs other. Perfect Catch 22.
Actually, Mojave does seem to support AFPS on Fusion drives now. I have a fusion drive and Mojave (now 14.1) installed. I checked the hard drive format after the original Mojave install, and it had converted it to AFPS.
Can’t wait for all the new emojis /s
Still all the same VoiceOver bugs and deficiencies as in the .0 version — and in the previous OS release a year ago. Apple seems to have given up on accessibility on the desktop. Windows with NVDA is soon the most accessible productivity platform… which no-one would have expected a couple of years ago. Oh well.
iOs VoiceOver is dandy, though. Too bad one cannot do anything useful on iOS. The desktop is still irreplaceable.
Installed 10.14.1 straight from the app store. First impression is not good. Very slow/unresponsive. Some apps crash. WTF.
