Why you should buy Apple’s flagship iPhone Xs Max over the iPhone Xs

“iPhone XS and XS Max are considered the true successors to last year’s iPhone X, which featured a total redesign that removed the traditional home button in favor of a facial recognition system and an edge-to-edge OLED display,” Dave Smith writes for Business Insider. But if you’re considering the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max, which is the right phone for you?”

“The iPhone XS Max has a bigger display — and for smartphones, bigger screens are better for just about anything,” Smith writes.

“This year’s iPhone XS lasts 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X, so expect 12.5 to 13.5 hours. But iPhone XS Max has the best battery life of them all: It lasts 90 minutes longer than the iPhone X, so expect 13.5 to 14.5 hours,” Smith writes. “The iPhone XS Max has a slight edge when it comes to graphics and overall performance compared to the standard iPhone XS.”

  1. As an Apple shareholder, I would advise everyone to buy the most expensive model iPhone XS Max (whether you need it or not) to drive up the ASP for the holiday quarter. Ka-ching! Thank you very much. Tee-hee.

  2. Why pay a $100 more for a device which is too big for your hand, won’t fit in your pocket, whose larger screen area offers no benefit to how you use your phone and offers no technical differences that might sway you anyway? My battery life on my XS is great and rarely if ever needs any additional charge to get through the day. Of course if you are nothing but a game addict who sucks wattage to play fortnite on a big screen then pay the difference and buy your expensive Nintendo, whoops iPhone XS Max.

  3. The max is too big. The last plus sizes iPhone I had was a 6S, I carried it for a year and upgraded to the 8S. The smaller phone was easier to carry and wasn’t sticking way out of my shirt pocket. I’s say if you want the big display get a smaller iPhone to carry around and an iPad Pro for the best large screen performance.
