Kanye West delivers impromptu ‘keynote’ at Apple store in Washington D.C.

“Following his meeting with President Donald Trump, rapper Kanye West visited an Apple Store in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, where he proceeded to climb atop a display table and deliver a ‘keynote’ to gathered customers,” Mikey Campbell reports for AppleInsider.

“The scene was chronicled by Religion News Service reporter Jack Jenkins, who happened to be at Apple Georgetown when Kanye decided to drop in,” Campbell reports. “Shared on Twitter, Jenkins’ account starts off as a celebrity sighting, but quickly takes a turn for the surreal when West asks to give an impromptu ‘keynote’ to customers in the store.”

“Apple store staff refused to comment on why West was at the location, though photos shared to Twitter suggest he was attending a Genius Bar appointment. Whether employees permitted the rap guru to stand on the store’s tables and address its customers, or if West’s request to do so was mostly rhetorical, is unclear,” Campbell reports. “West exited the premises in as dramatic a fashion as he entered, announcing he is ‘going to Africa.'”

  1. Yes, he is certainly unconventional and has a flair for drama. Much like President Trump. That said, if you watched his 20 minute White House appearance yesterday, his bottom line and that of Jim Brown is to work together to improve the black community. Certainly, only a partisan idiot would deny that’s a good start…

    1. So do tell us oh wise one, Trump virtue signaler extraordinare and renowned ‘truth teller’…
What purpose does a meeting comprising a certifiable fantasist, an entitled media moron and a former NFL player with a dubious history and a conviction for domestic abuse…serve?
      Other than panem et circenses?

    2. Even a partisan idiot might think it is a bad idea for any elected official to hitch his wagon to somebody who says stuff like:

“We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment.”

“There were only about 800 slaves in the US in the 1800s”

“They had a choice. I would have run, fought, or got killed if I were a slave.”

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years … For 400 years? That sounds like a choice. You were there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all. It’s like we’re mentally imprisoned.”

“There’s a lot of things affecting our mental health that makes us do crazy things that puts us back into that trap door called the 13th Amendment. I did say abolish with the hat on, because why would you keep something that’s a trap door?”

If Mr. West is the best example of an African-American supporter that Mr. Trump can display, he is in deep trouble. The President has an African-American cabinet member and there is an African-American Republican senator from South Carolina. Where were they?

Possibly they do not play into the theme that is emerging this election season that white people should vote Republican to protect themselves from crazy colored folks, socialists, and feminists.

      1. Sorry, left out a bit of context. Mr. West was specifically discussing his “Make America Great Again” hat when he said, “I did say abolish [the 13th Amendment] with the hat on, because why would you keep something that’s a trap door?” He was apparently arguing that America was greater before slavery was abolished. Defend that, if you can.

        1. I absolutely love it!!!

When you strike a nerve with tedious TxUser and his sycophant lapdog Gotcha, I am doing something RIGHT!

I’m not going to waste my time debating your partisan fantasies. So I’ll leave you with this: be afraid, be very afraid President Trump is working to help the black community.

I also love the FAKE downvotes, keep making me stronger and validating the right is WINNING….

        2. Let me correct the typo there…
… validating that bigotry, hatred, hypocrisy and destruction of democracy are currently winning.

          Let’s hope it doesn’t last.

        3. Another clueless liberal adds nothing positive to the conversation. Just curious, do you have to work at not getting to the truth or does it just come naturally?…

        4. You still haven’t answered my question on the other thread:

“I said that I do not imagine that it helps Mr. Trump’s position in the African-American community (or anywhere else outside the white nationalist movement) for him to sit calmly with a smile on his face while one of his invited guests argues that the abolition of slavery was a mistake. Do you disagree? Just answer that question without a personal attack or change of subject.”

I am not suggesting that West does not have a right to express his opinion, only that he should not be given a friendly platform in the White House to victim-blame the millions of Americans who were enslaved by other Americans and call for the abolition of the constitutional amendment that freed them.

Similarly, I never said that Alex Jones did not have the right to express his malicious opinions, only that no no other American private party was under any obligation to assist him in spreading them.

The guys in crewcuts with Tiki torches have the right to assemble in a public place to chant Nazi slogans, but they do not have the right to expect that the President of the United States will call them “very nice people.”

People have a right to say whatever they like (aside from inciting a imminent riot), but they do not have the right to lie or support horrible ideas (slavery!) without criticism.

I’m still waiting for your answer.

        5. “I absolutely love it!!!”
This sycophant lapdog thinks you are the epitome of everything you say you are not. To wit, a weak braggart with bullying tendencies much like the object of your tedious and mindless idolatrous denial. Hoist by your own petard, as you mindlessly parrot your idol with not one word of dissent or one iota of common sense, you have no option but to follow in lockstep, endorsing every misstep, stupidity and outright wrong (and there are many for any leader)….like an addicted zombie _void.
With such willingnous to paint yourself into the corner farthest from escape and reality, it’s not surprising that you are immune to honest political appraisal, that you resort to ad hominems and utterly childish slurs – ‘libtard’ anyone? Your refusal to ‘ever’ back up your outrageous allegations that stretch all the way back to promoting the ‘birther’ conspiracy is a wheeze no more intelligent than ‘taking the ball home’ when your playmates outwit you or don’t stroke your fragile ego.
Your refusal to waste time debating issues is not a decision you took, it is the inevitable consequence of scurrilous blowhard cowardice. You can’t debate because that would mean engaging in issues. It would mean accepting that few things in life short of actual murder, can be unequivocally deemed right or wrong. Politics is certainly not binary. But you have nowhere else to go since negotiation, cooperation and consensus are alien concepts akin to rabid communism. That’s not just being cranky, it’s nihilistic self-abuse that promotes violent discourse. But then, given that you conceal_carry all the way to your church on a Sunday, you’re safe right?
“Be afraid”…what? Is big bad mr. nasty president going to sort me and my dangerously_unhinged_consensus_politics out with a terrifying demoralizing tweet insult that has me running for cover…in tatters? Laughable if it wasn’t so empty a threat.
And yes…you’re right; all downvotes are fake, occasioned by libtards obviously, because no one in their right mind could have a different opinion, so fake right? Except when you or your buddies downvote, they are the real downvotes that are truthful and count. Right?
Sad, predictable, comical and frightening – all the attributes that come from living in the irony free desert_of_denial kakistocracy you represent.
          Count me out.

    3. Haha! You think Kanye West is the person who represents the African American race? You must be young and dumb due to your disillusional belief that Kanye is an idol.
If you are concerned with the President embracing African Americans as a whole, what is wrong with having a meeting with Colin Powell – a military general, conservative, and who went through Hell to get where he is at. Or the first African American Marine woman to be appointed as a General (Colonel Mahlock) due to Trump appointing her. Those two (and others) would be more suited as a representation of their race and have something Kanye will never have – intelligence. That, and they never acted like idiots such as your precious idol who acted like a thug to a teen girl (Taylor Swift) when she received her music award a while back.

On another note, if Kanye West did say he is going to Africa after his “keynote”, let’s hope he stays there. I doubt the Africans would put up with his stupid antics.

    1. i live in Scotland, so I am looking at this from a “relatively” safe distance. This is not a snowflake issues, or a democrat loss issue. This is about the fact your 0range Boss, is mentally deranged…:and is a danger to us all !! 🙁

      1. Well, if it takes a “mentally deranged” president to post record economic numbers that bring real HOPE and CHANGE after eight years of malaise, I would not care if he is purple…

    2. Well said and I relish it as well. The snowflake crybabies can’t handle their toys were taken over by the right and they have to face the reality of worshipping a FALSE GOD for eight years. Justice is righhly served…
