“Microsoft just launched Xbox All Access, a novel way to buy an Xbox console together with its related services without putting down any up-front money,” Jason Cross writes for Macworld.
“Apple is in a unique position to offer a similar bundle. Perhaps no other company integrates hardware and services as deeply, or benefits as much with future sales from customers who are invested in its own services,” Cross writes. “What’s more, Apple has both the retail footprint and financial services infrastructure in place to make it work for tens of millions of new customers.”
Cross writes, “Apple has enough services and products, with enough different price points, that it makes sense to break up our hypothetical Apple All Access plan into two tiers.”

MacDailyNews Take: Yes, as soon as Apple launches their original content video service, an “Apple Prime” will make even more sense.

Stop calling it Apple Prime. Horrible choice for a name first off and wouldn’t compare to Amazon Prime. Then there’s the obvious Amazon already uses Prime. Absolutely agree Apple desperately needs a bundle now! And, doesn’t have to include Tv. They nickel and dime customers to much.
Apple Everywhere
Agreed, Apple are never going to make it sound like a copy of Amazon Prime.
Something like JimBob’s suggestion of Apple Everywhere sounds much more likely. My proposal would be Apple Access All Areas which could then be informally known as 4A or A4. That name reflects a stronger link to the music and entertainment business.
What if Apple stay worldwide GSM operator with one flat fee for devices and services. You get always latest iPhone and best services. It could be the next revolution in communication.
I’ve been wanting something like this for years. I like the above idea of Apple building in a VPN that “just works” and is always on regardless of user switching.
Also, they need to increase their top storage tier to 4TB at least.
Dubious about the genuine value of bundles.
There are Amazon Prime features I never use.
Keep you subscription services and shove it.
Sounds like the cable company I cut the cord on last year.
They owned the hardware as well. They sold packages that increased in price each month. 7 -14 day wait to get a technician to fix issues. Going in to get support often meant wait times and lines similar to the DMV.
Apple 10 years ago may have been able to do better than my ex cable company, but I’m not so sure today.
