Costco now accepts Apple Pay across the U.S.A.

“Attention, Costco shoppers: You can now use Apple Pay at your local warehouse’s checkout counter,” Steven Musil reports for CNET.

MacDailyNews Take: Buyers of gallon jars of mayonnaise, rejoice!

    1. For me, honestly, double-clicking the side button on my Apple Watch and holding my wrist to the terminal is far easier than either one. In addition, for most people, their iPhone is more easily accessed than their wallet.

    2. You must live in a strange world Josh where getting your physical wallet out, opening it up, taking a card out and then swiping it, putting it back in your wallet and then back in your pocket is easier then a double click on your phone on using apple pay on an apple watch.

  1. Costco Canada warehouses accept Apple Pay at their terminals for Mastercard and debit, and it works well. What is annoying is that I can never escape Costco without going over the limit 🙂

  2. Those that think Costco is about gallon jars of mayonnaise are woefully behind the times and do not fully understand Costco. Sorry, I could not resist. 🙂 Keep up the good work MDN! Glad to hear Apple Pay is accepted at another fine retailer.
