“Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said on Saturday that he ‘fully admit[s]’ Twitter employees share a largely left-leaning bias after facing accusations that conservatives are discriminated against on the social media platform,” Jon Bowden reports for The Hill.
“In an interview that aired Saturday on CNN, Dorsey said his company has a responsibility to be open about its political viewpoints, but to operate without bias when applying content policies to users,” Bowden reports. “‘We need to constantly show that we are not adding our own bias, which I fully admit is … is more left-leaning,’ Dorsey says.
‘But the real question behind the question is, are we doing something according to political ideology or viewpoints? And we are not. Period,’ he added.”
“Dorsey’s remarks follow criticism from the right over supposed ‘shadow-banning’ of conservative users,” Bowden reports.

Bowden reports, “Dorsey is expected to testify next month before the Senate Intelligence Committee on the issue of Russia’s election interference, and faces a possible subpoena from the House Energy and Commerce Committee over allegations of discrimination against conservatives on the platform.”

Jobs was demonstrably libertarian and would have agreed with the ideas in the post. He made it clear many times with his support of individuality over groups and his disdain for unions. He may have registered Democrat, but he was no liberal.

Liberalism is collectivism in short. The group has priority over the individual. The individual and his property are, as you say, “accountable to society.” In order to maintain this control over individual freedom, rights, and initiatives, liberals use government like a gigantic cudgel to wield power over people.
Conservatives believe in the individual and support individual liberty and rights. As such conservatives are the true champions of minorities when you consider the greatest minority is the minority of one, the individual.
This is the core concept of the founding of the nation. Individual freedom is the idea upon which conservatism, or Republicanism, or Americanism (whatever you want to call it) rests.

Twitter isn’t an open platform. It is a for-profit corporation offering a service under certain terms and conditions to customers who choose to accept those conditions. Like any other business, it has the right to refuse service to anyone (except on the basis of membership in a constitutionally protected class). Only socialists think that The People know how to run private businesses better than their owners.

When I was a child, I remember restaurant owners explaining to African-Americans that if they wanted a meal they could go elsewhere. Many of those owners were sincere Christians who were honestly convinced that God in Scripture had condemned race-mixing. Do you draw a distinction between that and the baker, and if so how?
Never believe it. That is purely racial and not religious.
Oh they may have believed races should not marry and this is a common belief to this day in many parts of the world based on religion, race or culture. But what you are describing is someone using BS and hiding it as religion because they were simply not comfortable with being around “those people”.
I am from the South and have seen many thing in my life relating to race but never has someone made the argument that Blacks couldn’t be in the same place because of religion. Even if they were at the back of the bus or back of the courthouse or section of bleachers or a different jail cell they were still in the same area.
But by that same argument many liberal can’t stand the idea of someone simply because they have a different political belief and they will use whatever means possible to cause discomfort to those on the right. It might happen on occasion the other way around but I hear many more stories of people like Sarah Sanders’ than I ever do of a leftist being turned away and then taunted.
One thing I never heard about any of the bakery stories was the customers had to leave or were not allowed to buy anything in the store. The Gay Mafia reps were simply told that because of religious beliefs the bakery would not make a wedding cake for two of the same sex. Compare that to coffee shops running people out of their business because they were protesting abortion, or a family pizza parlor being harassed out of business for not catering a gay wedding.
The difference to me is that the people you are alluding to were the liberal elites of that period who used similar tactics to avoid Blacks and not true Christians to start.

What is often lost in this debate is the Masterpiece Baker was an ARTIST free to create his cake art as he pleases.
If gay activists walked into a photography studio or an art gallery and asked for custom photography or paintings that the business owner objected to on artistic freedom or religious grounds, same difference.
The baker only denied them custom art and offered to sell them anything in the store. So obviously this was a liberal activist setup, they got the media attention they craved and a Supreme Court ruling.
The most disturbing part, which is no surprise from the intolerant left, is to take away rights and jam their agenda down our throats. Not now, not ever — freedom!
