“Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, with TF Securities, distributed a research note to clients and to certain members of the media detailing his expectations for Apple’s upcoming product launches for later this fall,” Ashraf Eassa writes for The Motley Fool. “Kuo, who recently moved to TF Securities from KGI Securities, has a long track record of accurately publishing information about upcoming Apple products.”
“Kuo says that three new iPhones are on the way. There will be two iPhones with advanced OLED (organic light emitting diode) displays, and a lower-cost model with a cheaper LCD (liquid crystal display),” Eassa writes. “According to Kuo, Apple’s prepping two new iPad Pro tablets for later this year — one with an 11-inch display and one with a 12.9-inch display. These devices, Kuo reports, will incorporate the company’s Face ID facial recognition technology to allow for the removal of the home button, a ‘full-screen’ design (i.e. much smaller bezels), and, presumably, upgraded internals.”
“Kuo also indicates that Apple has a ton of stuff coming for its Mac product line. He says that Apple’s going to update the MacBook, the MacBook Pro [already done – MDN Ed.], and the iMac product lines with new processors. The iMac is also expected to get a better screen, according to Kuo,” Eassa writes. “Kuo says that Apple’s prepping two additional surprises. The first is a new “low-priced notebook.” Apparently, this new notebook won’t be sold under the company’s MacBook Air branding, but could be an entirely new brand. On top of that, he also reports that Apple’s going to update the Mac mini… Kuo also said that Apple’s planning to launch new versions of its hugely popular AirPods wireless earbuds, and to debut its AirPower wireless charging mat… Finally, Apple is said to be planning new Apple Watches. They’ll apparently have bigger screens than their predecessors and also include ‘enhanced heart rate detection features.'”

MacDailyNews Take: It’s looking like we’re in for a bumper crop come harvest time!
Yeah, we know: iMac, iMac Pro, Mac Book, MacBook Pro, iPad, iPad Pro… zzzzzzzz…
you don’t know a thing
That was uncalled for.
you don’t know a thing as well
I don’t need to prove anything to you.
you shouldn’t throw stones from your glass house.
fine i don’t have to listen to you either
Wake me up when I can buy a headless Mac desktop that is not a decade out of date.
So, you would be happy then when Apple ships a Mac mini that has components and technologies that are two years old? Apple can certainly do that!
I am truly afraid Apple is going to announce that they have done away with all user replaceable parts in order to slim down products that do not need slimming down – desktop computers. (IMac Pro, 2014 Mac Mini). Long live the desktop!
I wonder how badly the iMac will throttle?
What? You have a problem with buying an extra, dedicated, small air conditioner that continuously funnels 4.5 degree Celsius air into the inlet duct of your iMac? What a whiner! /s
How about a new Apple Pencil.. with better ergonomic design. Hex so it wont roll, clip, better chargingsolution aaaaand shortcut buttons!… ?
I like your idea about shortcut buttons.. For me, a clip borrowed from a ballpoint pen works fine and prevents rolling, but it would be swell of Apple to put it into the kit instead of forcing users to rely on their ingenuity, which we don’t all possess in equal measure. I am morally certain that Jony Ive would balk at a hexagonal pencil for violating his naïve aesthetic sensibility, but he should snap out of his tantric trance and realise that a hex cross-section would make the pencil effectively thinner (something else that interests him) and non-rolling (something that interests everyone else).
Now people will complain that they cannot afford all the new products. 🖖😀
Well that part never changes!
On my list: MacBook (not pro); iPad Pro 11 inch, AirPods if significantly improved. Staying with iPhone X (2017), Apple Watch Series 3, 3 HomePods, and perhaps, current AirPods.
Wife’s list: iPhone 6.1 inch, SS Series 4 Apple Watch. She will get my 10.5 inch iPad Pro, and will stay with her MacBook Air.
How about unlimited movie streaming Tim.
No Mac Pro?
No sale.
Hey, make it a MacBook Workstation. Make it as thick as a 2010 MBPro and put in lots of ports and upgradable components that can be fixed easily.
Mac Pro?
Apple Display?
Tim Cook suck as a CEO?
I’m excited about the “cheaper” Mac laptop. Lol, knowing Apple, it’ll be $800, just around the price range of the Air, just slightly cheaper because Apple. Second generation AirPods sound nice, I do hope I can trade in my current ones which I bought like just a month ago, for the second generation. I do hope they sound better, with 3D audio/Dolby Atmos/surround sound support, since Apple won’t do that in software like Microsoft has.
