The first event in Apple’s new Steve Jobs Theater: iPhone’s tenth anniversary unveiling – maybe

“For those wondering when Apple will hold their first event in Steve Jobs theater on their newly minted campus called Apple Park, the odds on favorite goes to a September/October special event,” Mark Reschke writes for T-GAAP. “iPhone 8, or iPhone X – whatever it may be called – roughly represents the 10-year anniversary of iPhone. With such a significant Apple milestone, one would think the event would be targeted to take place in Steve Jobs theater, but will it be ready in time?”

“It appears to be close to completion, or at the very least should be completed well ahead September or October. Not necessarily,” Reschke writes. “As of June 1 the theater still has a lot of work left in it, even for the entrance.”

Reschke writes, “If not, count on “Plan B” kicking into high gear with one of Apple’s San Francisco locations being ground zero for the next iPhone’s release.”

        1. Ummmm…. there was much ado about the changes that took place just a few years ago, going from the skeumorph designs (which I liked, by they way) to the “modern” designs and soft, flowery pallete of colors. And let’s not forget about the new, too thin font. And if by “wall of paint” you mean the wallpapers used in the background – I never look at the default for more than a few minutes before I change it, and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a picture of a family member, or a nice piece of art, or an amazing photo of nature for their background and unlock screen wallpaper. I guess there’s a first for everything. Congratulations! You are an original for being so unimaginative!

  1. Here’s a prediction that’s so crazy, it might turn out true:

I predict those in attendance at the first gathering of the Steve Jobs Theater will be treated to a recorded address from Steve himself, who knew that Apple Park was his last, best gift to his beloved company.

  2. These construction delays are f@cking embarrassing. Then again, Tim Cook is in charge. I’m sure he’s doing his best. Ya need some help, Tim. There’s no shame in admitting you need help. Is there anything I can do to speed the process along? Just ask, Tim. OK?
