“Apple today released a new update for Safari Technology Preview, the experimental browser Apple first introduced a year ago in March of 2016,” Juli Clover reports for MacRumors.
“Apple designed the Safari Technology Preview to test features that may be introduced into future release versions of Safari,” Clover reports. “Safari Technology Preview release 30 includes fixes and improvements for Web API, JavaScript, CSS, Accessibility, Web Inspector, WebDriver, media, and rendering.”
Clover reports, “The Safari Technology Preview update is available through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store to anyone who has downloaded the browser.”

Now if the could only deliver a stable version of Safari. Many of us had to switch to an alternative browser because Safari freezes OS X. I switched to opera and no more freezes for me.
Safari has almost always been incredibly stable for me. I recall that there was a flaky version years ago, but I do not recall experiencing any issues in recent years.
Two days ago I was a happy Safari user, yesterday became Chrome user and today stopped using the Sierra equipped Mac Pro for browsing and use 2007 iMac instead. I think Safari Web content loader hangs.
Turns out the Mail app also became useless.
Interesting not had any of these issues in Safari on Sierra. Works better than for a very long time, oh yes I remember those ridiculous hanging issues from several years back.
I dumped the Mail app awhile ago for Airmail. The mail app doesn’t work well with all services, heck it even stopped working with icloud. All constantly asking for passwords, event hough they are stored and then getting a message tell me the password was incorrect.. Switched to Airmail and all my troubles went way, it plays nicely with all my mail servers.
I wish Apple would get their Safari act together. It just doesn’t work on so many sites. Chrome works on everything so why can’t Apple sort this out?
Again interesting I use a whole range of browsers excluding Chrome which has a frightening capacity to clog up your computer with requests when you have Little Snitch enabled even when you delete it) only rarely do I find issues with Safari re web sites and Firefox my next most used has a similar problem with the odd if different site. Certainly whatever browser I use none come near to Safari in usability and a fast pleasurable experience for me, but I guess everyone is different.
I have no problems st all with Safari. Using a 2011 iMac and 2015 MacBook Air.
