“For the past several weeks, I’ve been using an iPhone 7 Plus, and have found it to be a wonderful smartphone. Compared to the iPhone 6s Plus, the biggest changes are the improved camera, a changed home button, and of course, the lack of a traditional analog headphone jack,” Michael J. Miller writes for PC Magazine. “I got used to the home button and the headphone changes fairly easily, and find that my day-to-day experience really hasn’t changed much—it’s a fast, powerful, phone that is arguably the best on the market today.”
“In general, I find Apple’s software to be somewhat better integrated than Android, but the differences have become slimmer over time. Of course, iOS works pretty much the same, no matter which recent iPhone you’re running, assuming you upgraded to the new version,” Miller writes. “One big difference is that Apple charges more for cloud backups, which is particularly an issue for storing photographs, and I generally find iCloud to be better integrated, but less featured than Google’s equivalents.”
“Overall, I have a few quibbles, such as the lack of the analog port, and a few crashes,” Miller writes. “But in general, I’ve found it to be a great phone with a very fast processor, wonderful display, and a terrific camera—in many ways, it’s the best smartphone I’ve yet used.”

The iPhone 7 Plus is, by a significant margin, the best smartphone ever produced. It’s noticeably faster, has a noticeably better display, offers longer battery life and more storage, is now water-resistant, and captures better images and video than our iPhone 6s Plus units, which we loved until the day we unboxed our Jet Black 256GB iPhone 7 Plus units.
The last month for us has been an absolute joy on the pocket computer front. Of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Steve Jobs would be very proud.

now it is time for mr. apple to prove that he can walk and chew gum at the same time. again – like he used to.
start producing mac computers about which the same can be said.
a company this big and rich and with so many employees can certainly do that.
if they can’t then they better figure out why not and make the requisite changes. the digital revolution is not going to go into reverse. the need for powerful desktop computers will be with us for a long time to come.

By telling us that Apple is removing a port that is still widely used today just so a lazy, greedy, incompetent CEO can gouge us for pointless airpods he’s too incompetent to even ship belongs in a comedy skit… and should never find its way into a real life scenario.
Lightning EarPods ship with every iPhone 7 along with a lightning to 3.5 audio jack. You’re probably still feeling butt hurt Steve axed the floppy disk when he introduced iMac. This is a non issue from the vast majority of iPhone 7 customers. Perhaps you’d be better served with an exploding Scamscum phone.

I prefer the 6S, thank you. The 7 has some advantages, of course, but the drawbacks and higher price are not worth it to me.
2 interesting points:
I dropped my iPhone 6 in a pool. It survived fine. Giving up conveniences for the claim of superior waterproofing is not a step forward. Anybody with a brain will use a proper waterproof case for extened water exposure.
I hate the feel of the iPhone 7 home button. It feels cheap. It really doesn’t feel like a superior phone in hand for most tasks.

I also agree that apple needs to invest much more time making better Macs in more user friendly configurations, as there there isn’t much point in taking more than 100% of mobile handset profits in the future. But there is a dire need for both cheaper and bigger Macs. Including desktops and uncompromised big thick 17″ laptops. Get to work, Apple!
