What many got wrong about Apple

“Apple has been outspending Alphabet, Microsoft, IBM and even Amazon.com on cloud over the last year. This had many Apple bears, and even bulls like myself, ringing alarm bells over the short-term earnings outlook,” Dana Blankenhorn writes for Seeking Alpha. “We were wrong.”

“The lesson of Apple’s third quarter report, which sent shares soaring today, is that CEO Tim Cook knows what he is doing. Services really can drive earnings forward.

What’s needed to be a player in cloud is cash flow that can sustain an immense capital investment, where $1 billion/quarter is an ante to the game,” Blankenhorn writes. “Amazon got it from the store, Google from search, Microsoft from software, and Apple from its devices.”

“With its cloud investment Apple has put itself in position to host the next Pokémon GO, the next augmented reality hit, wherever it might come from,” Blankenhorn writes. “It has put itself in position to go after the computing contracts of other Fortune 500 enterprises, and to make itself independent of IBM except as a sales force.”

    1. Whatever Apple wants to sell in the future will be nothing special anymore, just because the Focus on Quality is lost since Cook took over.

Would you like to rely on a Car that has buggy software?
Would you spend a grand on a phone that can be easily hacked by kids?
Would you wear a watch that people make fun of?
Would you identify with a brand that gives your money to a bank that loves the minimum wage just to make the rich people richer?
Would you support a brand that represents Pokemon Go Stupidity like nothing else?

Apple has changed so much that Pro Users are happy to have left the Mac Pro behind because it the machine stands in their way of making money on it.
      Once it just worked.
Now even the2nd Level Support has no clue what is going on most of the time.

Teach those arrogant elite Apple Grinners a good lesson, stop buying Apple crap. Until they learn to respect their customer and not just pretend to.

      Take care, I will.

Dana Blankenhorn isn’t an Apple bull, he’s a hit-whoring blowhard who bashes Apple when the stock is struggling and praises it to the heavens when it is rising. In other words, he’d make a great “analyst”, if he ever wants to change careers.

  3. What cloud services does Apple have? I never hear Wall Street praising any cloud services Apple has. They’re always boasting about how much Amazon’s AWS or Microsoft’s Azure cloud services earn, but nothing about any Apple cloud services. I actually thought Apple was building these data centers for personal storage and not even using them to make money.

  4. Apparently 1 billion people like the iPhone.
75% of the market is lead by the Apple Watch
The price difference is null if you put the same features in a PC as what a Mac has you will probably have to pay more.
The only crap is PC and Android which you can’t call a tech support person that speaks english even. You can’t go to a local store and get it swapped on the spot. You can’t get updates because there is no system in place for them and malware is in 99% of Android software.
Apple is number one in satisfaction for a reason. You can blow your horn and say it’s crap but in the end Apple has the last laugh because there products keep working while the cheap ass PC and Android devices fail with no fix except to waste more money on new crap.
