“According to new stats from ratings company comScore, the burn-after-reading photo and video sharing app [Snapchat] is ‘rapidly growing’ its user base of over 35-year olds, with 14 percent of US smartphone users aged 35 and up using the service (up from 2 percent in April 2013),” Claire Reilly writes for CNET.
“Older millennials are also jumping on board, with 38 percent of US smartphone users aged 25-24 using Snapchat, up from 5 percent in 2013,” Reilly writes. “Young people still account for a massive proportion of Snapchat users, with 69 percent of 18-24 year olds using the service, up from 24 percent in April 2013 (users under 18 were not tracked.)”
