“I’m watching a musician, with whom I’ve been intimate, play an intimate musical game on his smartphone,” Jordan Erica Webber reports for The Guardian. “As he lightly circles his finger and the music swells, the screen reddens and so do I. This is perhaps the first time I’ve been turned on by a video game – and I’m not even playing it.”
“This is La Petite Mort, a touch-based game described as a ‘one of a kind digital erotic experience’ by its creator, a small Danish studio named Lovable Hat Cult,” Webber reports. “The concept arose after a discussion at the Copenhagen Game Collective. This is a network of experimental developers responsible for the annual romance and sex-themed Lyst Summit and other boundary-pushing projects such as an adult colouring game. The hope is that La Petite Mort will be the first in a budding genre: female stimulation simulation. I am totally onboard.”
“La Petite Mort is made up of a series of audio-visual landscapes and each is an image of a real vulva, pixelated to abstraction. Through the algorithm, the different pixels of each vulva have different preferences, but the sensation will emanate outwards. ‘So if one cell feels good, it kind of spreads the pleasure to the cells around it,’ says the game’s producer Andrea Hasselager,” Webber reports. “As a player, if you touch an area in the right way, you can see that pleasure spread on screen as the cells light up, blossoming from the stimulated point. You can draw lines of pleasure or expanding circles, until the whole screen fills in a pulsing climax.”

Webber reports, “Apple has declared this game inappropriate for the App Store.”

MacDailyNews Take: This game and Apple’s reaction to it are both, uh… stimulating.
So many jokes, so much fear of offending.
Sexbots are almost here……..

Apple thinks *this* is inappropriate for the App Store. But a game that lets you kill thousands in cold blood (all while watching Kate Upton jiggle around on horseback) is a-okay?
America’s puritanical insanity has deep roots. Not even the culture within Apple can escape its grasp.
Came here to say this. Already said.
Apple – ban violence before sex, please.
also, apple execs ….ban the use of Apple Corporate for the advancement of personal social causes and crusades before banning sex apps. although, i may agree with one or more of those causes, i think it’s a misappropriation to use Apple Corporate as your own old glory ..so, ban the misuse first
sex games, emulators, virtual machines… This is why Jailbreaking will always exist, until Apple gets the hint.
Whilst it’s a wonderful activity to participate in with a partner in real life why would anyone want to do it on a screen. Are people going to masturbate themselves virtually?
Think of it as training. Many guys don’t have a clue when it comes to women and orgasms.
We really don’t care, as long as we get off, everything is beautiful in its own way. 🙂
Who knows what goes on down in The Byzantine Labyrinth anyway?
If you can’t figure it out through doing and communicating then a game is not going to help you. It’s hardly rocket science.
okay, Mr. Know-It-All, what that little deal inside that sheath on top?
I’m a guy and fake mine all the time to keep them happy.
United States of America:
Graphic Violence = OK
Sex = Never OK
We must reject Puritan values and get over the embarrassment of our bodies. We need to be more European in this respect.
Why do you think Europeans are superior? These types of comments come from undersexed dudes thinking it’ll help them get laid. It’s not complicated, google it if you have to.
He didn’t say Europeans are superior. He said that the European attitude to sex and nudity is healthier than the US attitude. While that may be a generalization, it’s generally true. And if you don’t know that, you simply don’t know about Europe’s attitude towards sex and nudity. It’s not about “complicated” or trying to “get laid” – that comment just shows you missed his point.
Which European attitudes? You speak as if Europe is a small country with a homogenous culture. The EU alone consists of nearly 30 countries and 500 million people. I live here and have been to 4 other countries in the past year, how about you? Typical progressive feel-good claptrap.
dunno about that, I’ve seen a few embarrassing bodies.

Melvin is a game programmer?
Great, any hope of nerds leaving their parent’s basement is further dashed.
