The massive displays in the new Ive-designed Apple Stores each cost $1.5 million

“The giant screens that form part of the new Apple Store design created by Jony Ive reportedly cost $1.5M each,” Ben Lovejoy reports for 9to5Ma.

“We got out first look at the screens at the opening of the Brussels store in Belgium, as well as a tour of a mockup in December,” Lovejoy reports. “We reported last September that Memphis would be one of the first U.S. stores to get the new design, and that store finally opened at the weekend at 2031 West Street in Germantown – but Albany Crossgates, NY, got there first earlier this year.”

  1. That giant display is an example of someone’s vanity. It’s a useless piece of shit that doesn’t belong in an Apple store. Another idea that Apple should have said ‘no’ to.

And what about those stupid, wooden, headphone spheres? Example of Apple’s minimalist design ethos? I think not.

No Apple logo. No genius bar. From the street-view, it looks like some nondescript art gallery or museum exhibition.

    Angela screwed this up.

  2. is cool to see a 6k resolution LED wall tho, not really seen anywheres else yet. Even tho all they can play on it animations but the Logic Board Animation is probably the coolest
