“Have you updated Flash recently?” Kristofer Wouk reports for Digital Trends. “Even if you have, you might want to make sure you’re up to date, as yesterday Adobe issued an emergency patch addressing several critical vulnerabilities that the company says ‘could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.'”
“The vulnerabilities affect those using the plugin in Windows, Mac, and Linux, including those versions provided in browsers like Chrome,” Wouk reports. “And at least one of these bugs is currently known to those who walk on the darker side of the Web, with Adobe saying that the patch fixes an exploit that is being used in ‘limited, targeted attacks.'”

Flash Bang, what a joke
I’m 95% Flash free. IPhone, 2 iPads 100% free. One MBP which I hardly use any more is the sole location.
I deleted Flash from my MBP…
That’s the 55th release of Flash this year. FFS.
one interesting thing about the version number: it appears there are a lot of bug fixes but not much in the way of functional upgrades or improvements.
To quote myself,
As usual: If you don’t need Adobe Flash, uninstall it and never reinstall it again. Adobe’s instructions for uninstalling Flash are HERE. Adobe’s instructions for uninstalling AIR are about halfway down the page HERE.
Steve Jobs knew about this.
Flash and Internet Explorer are like the AIDS of the internet.
Gosh! Golly! Gee-Wizz!!
Aren’t we lucky!
Currently, eating a bit helping of sarcasm pie.
Too many media companies cling to Adobe’s shitty Flash technology on Desktop OSes while supporting HTML5 on iOS. If they can stream HTML 5 to my iPad, why do they prompt me to install Flash on my Mac?
