Does anyone have real use experience with this software previously? I’m really curious. If it’s as good as the marketing copy, the I want it for my ATV 4. 😊
It depends on what you’re using it for. There’s a free version, but the pro version is well worth the $10 if you can make good use out of it.
Another player for the ATV4 to consider would be Plex. Each one has it’s own strengths and weaknesses (Plex is more expensive, but worth it if you make full use out of it).
They advertise that Infuse works with a Plex server, and it does, but only local, or remote through a local server… and I’m not sure why one would do this since Plex is available on the ATV4/iPhone/iPad/Mac/PC/Android/etc…
I used it for a long time on my atv2.
The problem wAs that my atv2 struggled to play HD content. Anything 720p or better was jittery. But that’s atv problem not FC.
The software was awesome. And worked quite well. I bought an atv3 hoping that FC would one day be able to hack it. But, they never could.
So, I ended yup running Xbmc on a Mac mini for a few years.
I suspect th product for the new atv is vastly different than any previous version. Especially sinc xbmc changed their name.
Previously FC was a hack into ATV. Now it’s an app. An it’s sure to be a much better experience.
Download it. You have everything to gain and only a few hours to lose.

it is that good! I have ATV4 and all my shows are on Apple Time Capsule. Works like a charm. I paid $9.99 happliy. This just made my investment into ATV4 worth every penny

Just downloaded after this review. Easily the most compatible atv4 player so far…. Even plays 4K video via dlna from the nas. Down sampled to 1080p unfortunately though.
