iPad Pro said to officially launch on Friday the 13th of November

“Everything we’ve heard so far about Apple’s long-awaited iPad Pro suggests that it’s coming November 11th, but according to a source familiar with Apple’s plans, would-be customers can actually expect the plus-sized tablet to officially launch on Friday 13th,” Luke Dormehl reports for Cult of Mac. “Jason Voorhees would be proud!”

“While there’s only two days in it, the Friday launch date makes a lot more sense given Apple’s previous release history,” Dormehl reports.

“Although Cult of Mac’s source didn’t mention iPad accessories like the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard,” Dormehl reports, “it makes sense that these will also be available from Friday 13th November.”

    1. The iPad Pro is a joke.

A 1000 bucks for a machine that does the exact same things the original iPad does… only with a larger screen to make it that much LESS portable.

Way to go Tim Cook; whoever said you couldn’t innovate?

        1. Speaking of SOUND, the iPad Pro looks to have amazing internal sound due to the Quad Speaker scheme with auto switching left-right and top-bottom surround characteristics. So it’s not just a bigger screen. Plus it only weighs what the original iPad weighed – 1.5 lbs, which I think is amazing.🔜😱😀

    2. Any Analyst doofus that claims launching on Friday the 13th is a bad idea is automatically crossed off my list of people I should be listening to.

For different reasons, I’m including Mr. “Gigantic Ripoff” above for his inability to see beyond the cover of a box.

      1. No, no. It’s unlucky. Let’s look at what we have…
        – a completely arbitrary choice of a 7 day week
        – an arbitrary choice of name for the fifth day
        – an arbitrary development of a base 10 mathematical system
        – an arbitrary choice of number of days in a month

So, obviously, the 13th day of a month combined with the fifth day of the week is of immense significance.

The five fundamental forces of the universe: – weak and strong nuclear forces, gravity, electromagnetism and arbitrary combinations of numbers, letters and locations.

        1. Well…. Have u noticed how most buildings dont have a 13th floor….
          Ever wonder why?

There are forces other than science effecting humsn behavior….

        2. Because when you go much bigger than that you need to have lots of equipment every few floors, like power, air, plumbing, etc. and no, most buildings are not lacking a 13th floor because it’s ridiculous idea to skip it for some luck based superstitions.

        3. No friend.. Its becouse many people are hesitant to buy or rent something that is officially called the 13th floor.
Hence its allocated to something internal and/ or the numbering skips the number 13 .

  1. I am so saddened that people continue to pander to their superstitions and reject certain numbers. I would like to think that at least people on this site have a science background and rational minds that they could leverage to forego the silly superstitious practices.

    1. I have no idea what the *cough* means. But to get to your
point. Nice copy? Probably. A better copy? Arguably.
I looked at the specs of the Surface Pro 4 and it was
very attractive as hardware. However it runs Windows
not Apple software. That’s a death blow. Real competition
would be Surface and iPad Pro running the same operating
      system, namely IOS.
