Here’s everything Siri can do on the new Apple TV

“The new Apple TV’s biggest selling point—aside from an App Store, which other streaming devices have, too—is Siri integration in the touchpad remote,” Caitlin McGarry reports for Macworld.

“Siri can search services like Netflix, Hulu, iTunes, HBO, and Showtime for movies and TV shows you want to watch,” McGarry reports, “and Apple is expected to open a universal search API so you can find content to watch across a variety of apps.”

“But Siri can do much more than just find titles,” McGarry reports, “She can offer recommendations, give you information about what you’re watching, and figure out what you’re looking for even if you don’t know what it’s called. 1. Siri works okay but I may have to switch to the English accent to get understood better.
As far a searching for shows etc it would be good idea to have a favorite shows listing that will automatically find when episodes are available. This is akin to combining DVR recording shows when they air and On Demand except in this case the show would be streamed when you need it.
That’s totally doable and would make it easier for users to keep track of their favorite shows.

  2. Me “Big Bang Theory”
Siri Shows me Big Bang Theory in iTunes on on my iMac
    Me “Season 9”
Siri I can’t find that (Even though it shows season 1-9 on the screen). I also tried Big Bang Theory latest episode, Nope.
Siri has a long way to go.
