Apple debuts three new TV ads for iPhone 6s/Plus and Siri

Apple has debuted three new television ads for iPhone 6s in U.S. broadcast and cable networks.

Flip a coin: The iPhone 6s is here, and the only thing that’s changed with Siri is everything. Because now you just say “Hey Siri” and Siri’s there, hands-free. Which can come in handy. The ad features actor Jamie Foxx.

• Crush: Actor Jamie Fox converses some more with Siri on his iPhone 6s.

The Camera: Featuring NBA player Stephen Curry and the voiceover: “So, yeah, that shit’s changed.”

MacDailyNews Take: Yes, we know she’s supposed to be saying “So, yeah, that’s what’s changed,” but we all know she isn’t.

“So, yeah, that shit’s changed” – who else hears it that way?

  1. Especially love the camera ad—amazing! Everyone now knows an ‘s’ release can bring significant changes worth upgrading for. Exciting sound track—cool how the same music runs through all the ads. The music is so basic and simple yet adds so much excitement—brilliant timing and use of silence, and fade in/out. Great locations and situations—attractive happy people. Cool people using a cool product with new cool features. Did you see the dog on that guy’s surf board?

  2. Watching celebrities (well, I assume these people are well-known inside a small circle of friends) hawking in advertisements has always turned me off, and seeing Apple using this tiresome shill disgusts me even further. They’ve lost a customer for this product, but hopefully their ads for other items will be less pandering and artificial.

  3. I don’t think they’re gonna fool a lot of people. While much has changed, the changes are all to adopt features that many iPhone competitors already have. Or in the case of, “your pictures move,” a feature that was invented in the late 1800s.
