“Apple is my beat. Aaron Sorkin — whose credits include The West Wing, Moneyball, and The Social Network — is my favorite screenwriter,” P.E.D. writes. “One of my readers counted the number of stories I’ve already written about the project. This will be my 18th.”
“To cut to the chase: I loved it,” P.E.D. writes. “It’s not the hit job the defenders of Jobs’ memory feared.”
“If you care about Apple, it’s a must-see,” P.E.D. writes. “For the rest of you, not so much.”

MacDailyNews Take: We’ll see it, but the fudging and changing of events and characters for dramatic purposes (having Woz say things he’d never say, insinuating, wrongly, that Apple “stole” the GUI, etc.) are going to grate on us hard, we fear, even as we fully understand the necessity for filmmakers to do so in most cases.
We do find it smirkworthy that the latest official trailer has Kate Winslet’s Joanna Hoffman character say of his daughter Lisa, “You must be able to see that she looks like you,” when Michael Fassbender looks absolutely nothing like Steve Jobs himself.

Steve Jobs movie(s)? Books? Absolutely worthy of discussion- and here. It’s politics and inflammatory posts related to it, triggering cheap hits while being boldly, unpleasantly divisive, that does way more harm than is informative or of service. I fear that the MSM and movies and biographies of personalities like Jobs may alter how he is perceived by history. I have watched John Lennon being characterized as a saint to presently, in a bizarre PC backlash, being critiqued as a bad husband, father, human being, even a lesser artist that McCartney, who’s still out there croaking at crowds of tone-deaf idol-worshipers who can’t even differentiate between his best and his worst. My point is, the truth is often subjugated to myth and idiot winds.
John Lennon’s two books, In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works, are still in print after fifty years.
