Apple releases iOS 9

Apple today released iOS 9.

With this update your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch become more intelligent and proactive with powerful search and improved Siri features. New multitasking features for iPad allow you to work with two apps simultaneously, side-by-side or with the new Picture-in-Picture feature.

Built-in apps become more powerful with detailed transit information in Maps, a redesigned Notes app, and an all-new News app. Improvements at the foundation of the operating system enhance performance, improve security and give you up to an hour of extra battery life.

How to update your device wirelessly:
If a message says that an update is available, tap Install Now. You can also follow these steps:
1. Plug your device in to power and connect to the Internet with Wi-Fi.
2. Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
3. Tap Download and Install. If a message asks to temporarily remove apps because iOS needs more space for the update, tap Continue or Cancel. Later, iOS will reinstall apps that it removed. If you tap Cancel, learn what to do next.
4. To update now, tap Install. Or you can tap Later and choose Install Tonight or Remind Me Later. If you tap Install Tonight, just plug your iOS device in to power before you go to sleep. Overnight, your device will update automatically.
5. If asked, enter your passcode.

How to update your device using iTunes:
If you can’t update wirelessly, you can update with iTunes. If your computer uses the Personal Hotspot on the iOS device that you’re updating, connect your computer to a different network.
1. Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. Open iTunes and select your device.
4. Click Summary, then click Check for Update.
5. Click Download and Update.

  1. curious about the iCloud drive app.

finally access to my files on iOS.

Still missing a native and iOS-Preview app with security check on pdf (the pdf format one of the most underestimated containers for malicious code, on windows rarely scanned deep enough to discover high level attacks)

I am also not surprisd because it is Adobe, so like Flash or Java a very supporting environment also for very young and for amateur hackers.

the real bad guys are after something entirely different than your consumer data, of which you probably revealed almost anything anyways on fb.

they are after employee accounts, bank pins and stealing your digital fingerprint on your jailbroken or android device.

The windows phones are way safer than the Schmoogle stuff.
At least they are not that open to advertising pizo.

the user experience on the iPhone 5 and 5s to me as 6foot guy with average or taller hands was way better, because 1 Hand was enough. Number 6 is not anymore. I would prefer that 4 inch only if the magnification was supported on that size as well.
Also the all round up shape is to slippery.
BUT who cares about minorities, right?

  2. iPad Air, App Store app says I have 6 apps to update, but the buttons all say “Open”, instead of “Update”, and clicking them seems to just open the app, instead of update. iTunes shows they do need to be updated. Powered down, restarted, went back to App Store and the Open buttons changed to Update for a second, then back to Open when I went to the Updates page. Huh.
