iPad Pro: What to expect on September 9th

“At an Apple event on September 9th, the Cupertino giant is expected to announce the new line of iPhones, a brand new Apple TV, Apple Watch Sports bands and the iPad mini 4,” Amit Chowdhry writes for Forbes.

“Now sources with 9to5Mac are reporting that Apple will also introduce the 12.9-inch “iPad Pro” at the same event,” Chowdhry writes. “However, the “iPad Pro” is likely going to start shipping in November after pre-orders begin in October.”

“The resolution on the ‘iPad Pro’ is believed to be 2732×2048 at 263-pixels-per-inch,” Chowdhry writes. “The ‘iPad Pro’ is rumored to have an A9 processor, 2GB RAM, USB 3.0 ports, a stylus that supports Force Touch and speakers on both sides of the device. There is speculation that the storage options for the ‘iPad Pro’ will range from 64GB to 512GB.”

    1. It would be rather nice to see USB-C implemented on the iPads, and actually have support for external devices. The port’s small enough. Not sure why we still need the Lightning connector at this point.

And with Thunderbolt 3.0 in the pipeline that will use the same USB-C connector, it just might make sense to have it on everything.
