Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer pregnant with identical twin girls

“Yahoo Inc Chief Executive Marissa Mayer announced she is pregnant with identical twin girls, likely due in December,” Supriya Kurane reports for Yahoo. “Not that it’s going to slow her down much.”

“‘Since this is a unique time in Yahoo’s transformation, I plan to approach the pregnancy and delivery as I did with my son three years ago, taking limited time away and working throughout,’ Mayer wrote in a blog post on Tuesday,” Kurane reports. “Mayer’s pregnancy comes at a critical time for Yahoo, which is preparing to spin off its stake in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and considers the future of its holding in Yahoo Japan Corp.”

“Mayer, 40, was pregnant when she joined Yahoo as CEO in July 2012 and she gave birth to a baby boy in September that year. She worked from home after the birth and came back to the office just two weeks later,” Kurane reports. “Mayer, who has been married to start-up investor Zachary Bogue since 2009, was an executive at Google Inc before taking the helm at Yahoo in 2012.”

  1. I’m not impressed by her, and question why this is news on this page. If you like looking at pictures of her legs while she sits on an inflatable ball, why not just google her? This news is of no concern to me- didn’t come over here to check up on this woman, who will not go far in the tech world based on her performance since initially hired by Yahoo. And how present is Yahoo in any of our lives anyway?

    1. Yahoo is search engine choice in OS X and iOS and is vying to become the default choice in both. Yahoo offers several apps for OS X and iOS. Yahoo Screen is an Apple TV channel.

    2. I entirely agree. This woman gets all the press for the way she looks rather than the skills she brings to her job. She’s more suited as a Playboy center fold. In fact, I’d pay good money to see her 2 page spread.

  2. A completely overrated talent. She has not really done anything of significance for Yahoo. Does anyone actually use Yahoo?

Ooh, she worked at a advertisement peddler so she must be really smart. No. Bring on iOS ad block Apple. It is going to punish those peddlers and will be wonderful beyond all belief. I await the destruction.
