$10,000 Apple Watch Edition unboxed; may soon be destroyed

“The video is worth watching not just for the vicarious thrill, but also to see what Apple provides its richest customers in the way of frills: The Apple Watch Edition charging case (with magnetic top); the Apple Watch Edition cleaning cloth; the Apple Watch Edition booklet; the Apple Watch Edition serial number, embossed in 16-caret gold,” Philip Elmer-DeWitt reports for Fortune.

“I fear for this watch, lovingly unboxed in a six-minute video posted on YouTube Saturday night,” P.E.D. reports. “The young narrater (who apologizes for the tiny lisp caused by his invisible braces) is a guy named TechRax whose specialty is the senseless destruction (with hammer, blow-torch, angle-grinder, molten aluminum, etc.) of Apple products.”

Some things are just too precious.

He admits that he is “nervous” handling it. I bet it’s not even his, but a good friend’s.

Anyway I didn’t know it had a custom boot logo/sequence. I like it.

  3. Where will Greenpeace be when he ruins the watch needlessly as he releases fumes and toxins into the air for fun?

Where will the labor activists be complaining that the Chinese workers slave away just to serve his sense of entitlement and help him get rich through video infamy?

Nowhere. They only complain about Apple not the endless stream of idiots that destroy things for a quick few seconds of video notoriety.
