Bacon emoji is coming; pregnant woman and tuxedoed man, too!

“Bacon, a potato, an avocado, clinking glasses and a scooter,” Jonathan O’Callaghan reports for The Daily Mail. “No, this isn’t some bizarre shopping list – it’s a selection of the 38 new emoji that will be available to use from next year.”

“The various emoji were selected by an organisation called the Unicode Consortium in California responsible for developing Unicode, which standardises emoji across different platforms,” O’Callaghan reports. “According to Yahoo, the new emoji will be included with Unicode 9.0 in June 2016 although this hasn’t been confirmed.”

“Unicode said these 38 had been selected for a range of reasons, including ‘popular requests from online communities,'” O’Callaghan reports. “For example, a new ‘selfie’ emoji is being included owing to its 285 million Google search results and more than 138 million images.”

    1. You say non-religious like we are a minority. It’s not the 1800’s, so naturally it’s the other way around. The only people who are still religious are a small minority of easily manipulated fools and terrorists.
