“It seems like just yesterday Apple unveiled the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Now, the industry has shifted focus from the iPhone 6 models to the inevitable sequels,” Malarie Gokey reports for Digital Trends. “Some of the earliest iPhone 6S rumors speculated the updated handset could debut as early as spring 2015.”
“It’s widely agreed that such an early release date is entirely improbable, but a recent report from Economic Daily hints that Apple is ahead of schedule on production for iPhone 6S components,” Gokey reports. “The publication even hints that Apple may have the phone ready earlier than expected for an August launch, instead of the traditional September date.”
MacDailyNews Take: Nope.
“It’s been a few years since Apple added the champagne gold color option to its iPhone lineup, and now KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says it will add a new color this year,” Gokey reports. “The iPhone 6S will come in rose gold, too, Kuo claims, bringing the color options up to four.”

MacDailyNews Take: A rose gold model would likely generate strong sales (and resales) due to its expected popularity, especially in Asia.
I just want a solid black all around. Forget the space-gray-that-looks-silver, I hate that and immediately cover it with a black Apple leather case. If I wanted a silver phone I would buy the silver phone, don’t make “black” silver too.
Sick of all these old lady colors, what’s next: pearl? Original iPhone 5 in black was perfect, why’d you have to go and fukk it up?
Oooo, pearl!
Just to piss you off.
MAD MAX version would be nice too – one that deliberately looks trashed, well except for the screen. Actually they’d probably sell a ton like that. 🙂
Go to Castify – http://www.casetify.com – you can design your own case from a photo.
It does seem odd that for a product that they sell so many of they only have a few available colours. It’s not as if they’ve not offered products in multiple colours before, they did it with iPods after all. There’s obviously a good reason, but it is interesting.
No it’s not. For a product that changes once a year (or more) the logistics are a nightmare. I think a single colour with clip on covers would be the right answer.
What color the iPhone is really doesn’t matter as most have covers on them.
So you want Apple to build a mobile phone that requires a protective case? Some of us don’t want or need cases, thank you very much.
They’re not going to launch ’til late September as usual.👀💥😃
