“Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities issued a new research note on Tuesday, a copy of which was obtained by AppleInsider, in which he revealed a number of changes planned for Apple’s so-called ‘iPhone 6s,'” Neil Hughes reports for AppleInsider. “Specifically, he said that Apple will offer a new rose gold option, though he didn’t indicate how much the high-end luxury model might cost.”
“Kuo did not indicate whether the new rose gold ‘iPhone 6s’ would be made of actual gold like the high-end Apple Watch, or if it will simply resemble the color found on the Apple Watch Edition,” Hughes reports. “Other changes to the new handset are said to include a new design with different casing materials and a restructured internal design, addressing the supposed bending issues that affected the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.”
“Kuo also corroborated information first reported by AppleInsider in February and reaffirmed that the next-generation iPhone will feature Force Touch input,” Hughes reports. “Kuo also restated his earlier claims that there will be no new 4-inch iPhone model this year, leaving screen sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches.”

MacDailyNews Take: “A new design?” That would heighten the probability of an “iPhone 7” instead of an “iPhone 6s,” if Apple continues with this naming scheme (as opposed to moving to simply “iPhone” with date designations such as “(Late 2015),” for example).
Whatever it’s called, I’m due for a new one this year. My wife and I are on alternate year plans so she got the 6 while I’m making due with my 5S.
Looking back, we actually have all the models dating back to the 3G. Neither of us got the original so maybe we should just pick one up to complete the collection?
I hope they stop selling the 16GB version with the 6S. It’s unacceptable in this day and age.
So buy the bigger one. Just pretend they don’t make the 16GB version. Or are you saying you want the bigger one for the price of the smaller one?
Apple’s memory prices have been out of line for as long as I can remember. It’s time to give customers a much better value. If you do anything that a smartphone is supposed to do, then 32GB is absolute minimum for acceptable performance. Apple can afford to pry open its deep pockets on behalf of its users for once.
I hope Apple brings actually GOLD iPhones too. There is a sector of the market who would go for that and I am sure the margins would be great.
Yes. Bring out a solid gold version, sell it to all those with too much money BUT raise the spec for everyone. Let “fashion” be the cost variable and not RAM.

‘Rose Gold’ iPhone!
Yawn 💤💤
It’s time for to go update its features on its iPhone. It’s a fact most Android phones has better features, hardware wise since iOS has been consistently been updated with every new iPhones. It would be nice for a better battery, higher screen resolution and better camera megapixels, don’t get me wrong the 8mp works well with the software but having compared it with the Samsung S6 Edge’s camera resolution the iPhone doesn’t compare.
5.2″, DUAL SIM.
That’s would be the best upgrade or change for Apple.
