Re/code’s Swisher: Steve Jobs was all heart

“Fast Company” revealed new information about Apple’s Steve Jobs ahead of the upcoming biography Becoming Steve Jobs.

Re/code‘s co-executive editor Kara Swisher, shares her view of Steve Jobs’ legacy, Tim Cook’s surprise for Jim Cramer, Snapchat and trends at this year’s South by Southwest festival.

I think one of the things people miss about [Steve Jobs] is they said he was heartless – I think he was probably all heart which is why he was difficult. Everything mattered to him… they misunderstood that passion. — Kara Swisher

  1. Spot on.

Having known a few people who built innovative companies in various industries I have witnessed the kind of drive and passion Steve Jobs had.

Its easy to write them off as assholes or whatever while completely missing the fact that their behavior is driven by a deep passion and commitment to what they are trying to accomplish.

I guess the people who simply see Steve Jobs as nothing more than a jerk are lacking vision. I assume most of them are windows users.
