“Photos of what is claimed to be the lid and display for the upcoming 12-inch MacBook Air have been published by iFanr,” Mike Beasley reports for 9to5Mac.
“The display is said to boast a Retina resolution, though the exact pixel count is still a mystery,” Beasley reports. “Unfortunately, there’s no sign of the bottom case for this machine just yet, so the rumored single-port configuration will remain just that for the time being.”
Beasley reports, “The new computer forgoes the traditional light-up logo in favor of something closer to the polished metal logo found on the iPad.”

I can deal with one port, but no light up logo?? forget it.

It looks like an iPad, not a MBA…
I think it’s a prototype and means nothing at this point.
Why is it so thick, if it’s the top lid of a MacBook Air? And there’s something really off about the proportions.
What’s with the digitized areas at the lower corners? I think it’s phony. Made by some Chinese knock off company.
What says ‘authentic’ like than censored/pixelated pictures?
FAKE.
Bingo!
At the edges of the pixels you can see some letters…so maybe covering up manufacturing info…?
And, if it’s real, my theory is the lid is so thick because it’s a hybrid. Attached to the keyboard = OS X. Remove it = iOS. Eh?
