“The cost of Tim Cook skipping vacation last year: $56,923,” Tim Higgins reports for Bloomberg.
“That was the amount in holiday cash-out pay that the Apple Inc. chief executive officer received last fiscal year, according to the company’s proxy filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday,” Higgins reports. “The number was included in Cook’s total $9.22 million compensation package for 2014.”
“Cook’s vacation cash-out pay — a statistic that only shows up in a handful of company filings, according to data compiled by Bloomberg — is higher than in 2013, when he received $35,000 for unused days off,” Higgins reports. “While Cook’s base salary rose 25 percent last year to $1.75 million, the amount he received for cashing in vacation time rose 63 percent. That suggests the CEO took even [fewer] days of rest and recreation in 2014 than in 2013.”

We as apple fans may like the fact that the CEO is married to his job, but for mental sanity, it is necessary for every normal, healthy human to take time off regularly.
That’s what weekends and death are for.

1. You can keep your healthcare plan (funny, that was just a joke)
2. You can keep your doctor (just kidding – who likes doctors anyway)
3. You will save $2,500 per year (well your parents told you there was tooth fairy, right?)
4. Obamacare will not pay for babies to be murdered including even after they are born (but we really care about Pacific bait fish!!)

Only on MDN would Tim Cook’s unused vacation have anything to do with Obama.
That’s only about 1.5 weeks at his base salary.
That’s almost as much as I get per year. CEO’s should be paid well for good performance, but the millions they are raking in these days is obscene.
