Compact, convenient and available up to an industry first 256GB capacity, this is a plug-in memory accessory for iPhones, iPods and iPads. Like the idea, not crazy about the design, but given all the different sizes and shapes of cases, ok for a v1 product.
Was hoping the J-curve would be somewhat adjustable (stiff but bendable material around an internal Lightning wiring), which would let you adjust the larger part to sit flush against the back of an iDevice no matter how thick the case, or if there’s no case at all, but it’s not mentioned on their site. So if you’re case-less or only using a thin one, I’m a tad worried about lever-like action against the Lightning port when you inevitably press it against the back of the iDevice.
And I did not see a “pass-through” port to be able to charge your device while still having the unit attached.

And the price is too high.
Finally, are your files, images, etc., password-protected? I didn’t see that mentioned.

Ummm…how does the software not violate every sandboxing rule there is and still be useful? Oh, I see. The only photos that can be saved directly to it are ones taken with their camera app. Not Camera+. Thanks, Apple. And it can only be used to save photos, videos and music files. Thanks, Apple.
Having actually gone to the site and read some stuff, they are using the “open in” option to move stuff over.
Try contacted Leef with your thank you’s, I’m sure they would appreciate it more.
Or just buy the iPhone with higher storage capacity to start.
That doesn’t address the ability to backup while on-the-go, when uploading gigabytes of videos and pictures to the cloud isn’t an option.
SanDisk already offers a similar product which I happen to own.

Sandisk is a lot bigger and bulkier.
We’re going to see a ton of these coming down the line. There are already a few (although not “J” shaped). Expect prices to drop radically, eventually being just slightly higher than regular USB drives.
